don't mean to bust the bubble of those pining for the return of the WCO but we don't have the proper offensive line to run the WCO effectively.

I picked other. Reason, unlike most of you I realize the Yorks are cheap. Those coaches on that list are the 5 mil and up variety that the Yorks will not pay for. Wanting a coach on that list is like wanting a new Porsche for your 16th birthday when your parents can't afford a used moped.

Harbaugh was hired around the same time as Nolan and at the time both Coaches were saying similar things so the philosophy is close, except of course Harbaugh actually backed up what he was saying with results.
Agreed.

Gruden and Cowher will cost a pretty dollar and Yorks are cheap asses.
I don't understand how an owner will not shell out $$$ for a legit coach? That is the one area salary cap does not hold you back and you can splurge with immediate upgrade.
Cowher wouldn't step foot here except on the other sideline.
Gruden and Harbaugh would be great. I don't see Harbaugh leaving his job in 2 weeks. Gruden would.

I'm all for Gruden and Cowher. I like Gruden due to Offensive stability, but either coach will be awesome. These guys will coach our players on the field. They may not prepare them in life like Singletary does, but If they don't have the discipline to, then thats their problem. I know for a fact that you may beat these coaches team, but you won't out coach them.

how so? all our guys are mobile, and WCO puts less strain on pass blocking, seems like a good fit

i'm not too schooled in coaching contracts, but maybe some kinda incentive based contract? is that possible? example: go .500 in your first season and earn X amount of dollars. playoffs in year two and salary jumps to X amount dollars.
or do you think someone like harbaugh (an unproven NFL coach) gets what he wants right off the bat?

Cowher just built his dream home in North Carolina and has been patiently waiting for John Fox to get canned. He will get his dream job to go with it.
Gruden would be a good choice, he did have ego issues but hoepfully the time away has matured him.
What about Mariucci again? Perhaps we can undo this 8 year nightmare

I think Norv Turner has coached his last team as a HC. He has shown that he just can not get it done as a HC. Now bring him back as an OC? Maybe, just depends who our HC is.
I would prefer to bring back the WCO!
