if he is joining their PS that means we can still pluck him off and add him to our 53

james harrison was undrafted and didn't do much either for a few years before he became a star, you never know
best teams usually develop their own players from within

Well the coaching staff doesn't seem to think too highly of him as you do.

Cutting Briggs for Brock does not mean the coaching staff doesn't like Briggs or does not think he has a chance to be a contributor at some point.
The point flew over your head. Harrison was cut 3 times from the Steelers PS before playing in NFL-E and then was cut AGAIN this time by Baltimore before ending back up in Pittsburgh. 3 years just to make a 53 man roster and 5 years before he was a full time starter.
Sometimes a player takes longer to come along than others and sometime tough decisions have to be made regarding letting a player go to make room for another.

Hopefully at some point we can. He has flashed potential, would love to keep him around to continue to grow with our coaches and within our 3-4.

Briggs was a lot like Robert Mathis IMO, quick first step and very athletic. I really hope we find a way to get this guy back.
