meh, Briggs was not going to get playing time. He looks like he could be a player, but with Lawson-Haralson-Laboy-Brooks, he just wasn't going to get on the field. We were so thin at CB they had to elevate Brock.

Its unfortunate if he gets signed away, but its not the end of the world.

Piss poor move! It really speaks to our lack of desire for pass rushers in our 3-4 and also to how thin they feel our CB position is. We develop the guy and he may end up going to a team who will use him (properly). What a bummer...

My guess is San Diego. Didn't he kill in the preseason game against them last year?

With James hurt and Adams not possibly playing last night, I understand why they needed to bring up Brock. I do not understand why Briggs had to be cut instead of Curtis Taylor...or a vested veteran we could have resigned in a few days (similar to what the Steelers did with Leftwich).

No one yet. The 49ers hope to sign Briggs to the practice squad IF he clears waivers...
