I'd like to see how Smith would do if he was doing most of the play calling like Manning does.

I'd like to see how Smith would do if he was doing most of the play calling like Manning does.
its never made sense to me that we've never really had an offense that would seem to play to Alex's strengths. not only do we have an offense that seems to disregard what the modern NFL is all about, but it also disregards our own personnel.

Smith called his own plays during a few 2 minute drills last season and was very effective.

I understand that, but he stated, and to paraphrase, most of the plays. I don't think that will work for this team. In certain situations, it probably will.
