mike nolan is probally the best D coordinator in the nfl and he is also a very good GM
he just cant coach
THE BEST d coordinator? Come on. He wasn't even the best D coordinator on his own coaching staff.
hes definitally up there he turned a pedestrian D in denver into a respectable D in a matter of 1 year
he led the ravens to a superbowl with his D
i know why we shud hate him and i do but as a HC but as a D coordinator he is a genius
Marvin Lewis was the D coordinator that year.

No he didn't. Marvin Lewis was the defensive coordinator for Baltimore's Super Bowl. Nolan was DC for the Jets that year.

this.
i like nolan as a DC, and he's definitely a better DC than HC. But i would take LeBeau, Frazier, and the Ryan brothers over him any day. Not to mention Manusky.
Also, LeBeau, the Ryan brothers, Jim Johnson--those are guys I consider DC geniuses. Nolan is somewhere in the "very good" category.

Mike Nolan was not part of that famous Ravens defense. The Ravens went to the SB in 2000. Mike Nolan started working for them in 2001.
