Logic Fail, so that means Rothlesberger is already better than Young? Not to mention Brees, Manning, and Farve.

No question Rothlesburger is better than Young. He won 2 Super Bowls in 6 years in the league. That's incredible. He's a premier QB for sure.

He's also better than Peyton Manning, obviously, using this logic.

He's not better than Peyton Manning IMO. Young is overly romanticized on this web page because it's 49ersWZ and you have a bunch of biased 49ers fans.

But Young came out on the short end of the stick more often than not in the playoffs year after year. He went all the way once and only once. He lost in the playoffs all the other years.

Obviously having the highest career rating of any QB to play since the merger is purely a romanticized stat. I think your full of sh*t as per usual with your Rothlesberger claim. But if that's how you really see it, enjoy pretending like you know anything about football.

QFT

So He's not better than Peyton, who has also only won once, and has choked away several other chances (even when his team had the best regular season record?) Sounds like somebody has double standards...
So by the logic in this thread
Terry Bradshaw is considered tied for greatest QB ever...

Hands down STEVE YOUNG was better...

THIS.

Rating had to do with a West Coast offense which emphasized the short passing game. Dallas had a run and throw deep offense so of course the rating would be different. But you don't play the game to get ratings. You play to WIN.

And who won more as a starting QB in the big games?

This is about who is the best PLAYER not who was on the best TEAM, right? That seems to be getting lost here. As was pointed out above, Young carried the 49ers for years, while Aikman never had to.

Peyton is one of the most accurate QB's in NFL history. He can make throws that aren't even possible. He carries scrubs like Garcon and Collie to the Super Bowl when they don't even belong there.

Your absolutely right, the QB is the only position on the team that decides whether they win or lose. Let's trade our entire defense along with Crabs, VD and Gore for Peyton Manning, oh wait he's only won the big game once and has lost more playoff games than anyone not named Farve, nvm lets get Big Ben he can do it all by himself. Dynasty here we come!

So did Manning. And he's played way more already than Young did.

So using your logic between those three it's:

#1 Roethlisberger
#2 Young
#3 Manning
Wasn't the argument who was the better #8 Young or Aikman????

We can get into the argument of the top quarterbacks in the NFL some other time.
Aikman wasn't a great statistical quarterback. He never choked in the big games and he made the key throws when he had to. His work was glorified by the people he had around him. He had the best online in football and he had great weapons around him. He played 12 years in the NFL and in 5 of them he had a losing record. He only had one season where he threw for 20 Plus TDs.

This thread is daft! So the D and the other 10 men on the O aren't taken into account? Aikman is better than Young because his team did better in the playoffs? Was Dilfer better than Marino?

Leave the kids to play. Romper Room time.
