I agree!!!
Not that I think it will happend but that is precisely what happend to Champ Bailey. So, people have traded the best CB in the league.
bailey was also traded for probably the best rb in the league at the time, unless we willing to give up one of our absolute best players it aint happening

Cornerbacks can be traded. It has happened before, it will most likely happen again.
No way the niners should trade for Revis and the overpriced contract that he wants. The team needs to make sure they resign Vernon back first before they start making any financial moves.
sidenote: we already have the best defensive player in football.

LOL i like it!

No.
Yeah, who needs a proven commodity? Who wants the best cover CB in the league? Not our fans, apparently. We don't like giving up draft picks for people like Revis, who have proven themselves in the league. No, we'd rather draft the Kentwan Balmers in the first round.

If we dump Nate Clements' contract, probably.

Rbs are dime a dozen. That was one of the dumbest moves by Dan Snyder. I'll take two first rounders over a RB - and Portis was one of the best RBs at that time - def. not the best.

Fellas, no more need to speculate. Do the math!
Revis holdout in NY + Balmer out of practice = Niners in talks with Jets about a straight up player for player trade.
Duh!

Yeah, that's it . . .
Ignoring the fact that this is all a fantastic pipe dream to begin with, I can't find any way to justify mortgaging the next two drafts for the honor of paying the richest contract in recent memory.
If this fantasy came true hopefully we wouldn't need a new QB anytime soon.

Would anybody here trade him for Willis?
Edit: just putting it out there.

No! NFL authentic jerseys are too expensive and I already have P-52's.

While were at it, let's get Chris Johnson and Peyton Manning.

What's so outrageous? Did this thread say getting Manning? Or getting Manning for David Carr in a straight up trade? Revis is officially a holdout, and may remain so for the entire season because the sides are so divided over their philosophy of what he is worth. Last year a franchise QB (or at least thought of as such at the time) was traded. Few years before that, the best pass rusher in the game. Champ Baily has gotten traded. McNaab went to a division rival!!! Brandon Marshall, one of the top 5 or so WRs in the game, was recently shipped over to Miami. So what makes this such an outrageous proposal?

I dunno I remember reading that one of the people from the Jets said it looked like Revis would hold out the whole season. I think they might be willing to deal him if it looks like they just can't find a contract that'd he'd be happy with by the 3rd or 4th game AND we could come up with an extension to keep him happy. I mean he's a top 3 D player along with like Willis and maybe a guy like Freeney. If you have the best ILB in the league teams will have a hard time running the ball against you and if you have the best CB in the game teams aren't going to be able to hit their #1 WR.
Now I'm not saying we'd necessarily want to deal the whole farm for Revis but it'd be stupid to not consider making a play for him considering what he could do for our team. Remember how everyone is alway's saying we should have a top 5 defense in the NFL? If we did this we really WOULD have that type of defense.
