They were too old. If they had been in their primes it would have been a different story.

Nah I know but even as some old geezers they still got a team to the superbowl. That's pretty good. It's not their fault Gruden knew their offense inside n out and that Gannon threw a billion INTs.

They were surprisingly productive for their ages. I think they were both almost 40.
Fred Biletnikoff WR, Cliff Branch WR, Dave Casper TE - Raiders
Charlie Joiner and John Jefferson – Chargers
Mark Clayton and Mark Duper - Miami
Me + Your Mom.

We could always work each other open, and between us, we caught everything.

Who was slinging the balls to you two?

I like that choice. Very under-rated.
I liked...

John Taylor & Jerry Rice
Mark Duper & Mark Clayton
James Lofton & Andre Reed
John Stallworth & Lynn Swann
Art Monk & Gary Clark
Cris Carter & Jake Reed
Robert Brooks & Antonio Freeman

also..

Isaac Bruce & Torry Holt
Randy Moss & Wes welker
Marvin Harrison & Reggie Wayne
Larry Fitzgerald & Anquan Boldin
Greg Jennings & Donald Driver

best video game duos...

Fred Barnett & Keith Jackson
Herman Moore & Bret Perriman
Joe Horn & Willie Jackson
Jimmy Smith & Keenan McCardell
Gotta add Swann and Stallworth. Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell were decent for a few years.

Cris Carter and Jake Reed.

Although they aren't a tandem, I have to inculude Hayward Jefferies, Ernest Givens, Curtis Duncan, and co. of those early 90's Oiler teams.

John Jefferson doesn't get the credit he deserves. He made the MOST spectacular cathches ever!
No love for Steve Smith and Musin Muhammad?
