2009 (as a team)
NYG - 1837 yards rushing for 4.1 ypc. 103 1st downs gained.
GB - 1885 yards rushing for 4.2 ypc. 102 1st downs gained.
Looks to me like they had the same amount of production from there ground games. As for the WR's, Steve Smith outproduced both Jennings and Driver whilst Mannigham and Nicks were also very productive (822 and 790 yards receiving respectively). Basically they got very similar production from there respective WR's and TE's.
Both QB's were able to throw for over 4000 yards, yet Rodgers completed 2.4% more of his passes and threw for 0.3 yards more per attempt. Rodgers also was sacked nearly 100 times more than Eli.
Eli has a ring on his finger, Aaron Rodgers doesnt
I guess Trent Dilfer > Dan Marino???
Man, if you don't see similarities between Rodgers and Young then you should stop watching football. Also, why so much hate so Rodgers?
He wanted to play for us, but we were the one that didn't want him. He never once crapped on the 49ers and is even friends with Alex Smith. Why hate on him if he playing great?

2 years as a starting QB in this league and has improved his game (and also his stats) but he won't be anything special....and yet he has a problem with holding on to the ball to long (which can be corrected going forward). TBTY this is merely a case of

However, you have to take into account Rodgers situation. Rodgers has benefited from the following for a few years.
1. Being in the WCO since college.
2. A couple stud WR's (Jennings, Driver).
3. A underrated TE (Finley).
4. A underrated RB (Grant).
With the roles reversed and Alex Smith was in Green Bay we would be praising him.

Exactly,
Aaron Rodgers had everything fall into his lap perfectly.
Alex Smith had a totally opposite situation, and you could pretty much blame Nolan for Alex failing at the beginning of his career

Aaron Rodgers is a strait up baller. 10 X better the Alex, I just wish we drafted him over Smith.

I wanted Rodgers over Smith at that time and obviously still do. I don't think Rodgers would be what he is today had we drafted him, but I think he is better suited as an NFL QB, period, and would be better than Smith is equivilent situations.

I honestly can't say that I wanted Rodgers over Smith before the draft. I dont have a enough information on the players to before the draft. All I know now is that Rodgers in the one of the best QB's in the league.

That's totally fine. Rodgers was not the QB he is today--far from it. The reason we drafted Alex over Rodgers was because mailny of his athleticism. We thought Rodgers was just another skinny QB with no legs. Well, he sat under Favre for a few years and started working out rigirously. Now, he's proving everybody wrong, including Mike McCarthy.

I do believe that if we had drafted Rodgers, even under all the circumstances he still would be a better QB then Smith is today. I think the guy is a solid QB and Im a fan of his game.

Well, Rodgers definitely has better arm strength Alex Smith. And what makes Rodgers so good is because his accuracy is amazing. I do believe Smith can make a solid QB in the NFL though--he's shown those flashes.

Rodgers probably throws the best deep ball in the league.
