According to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora, the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions are showing the most interest in free agent defensive back Pacman Jones. This is the first mention of the 49ers' interest in the troubled player.

Both teams' head coaches, Mike Singletary and Jim Schwartz, are expected to attend Jones' individual workout next Friday.

In 2008, Jones played for the Dallas Cowboys, appearing in 9 games and started 6. He had 26 tackles.
