Current players fantasy draft (Lock me up)

anyone who is not interested now probably won't be later. We should start now

Well this is kind of a bad start.. Im thinking this NFL forum is the cause. I bet if we put it in the Fantasy section it would fill up fast. I mean we are a bunch of Football nuts.

We have 25 right now, do we want to just go now or should we wait for seven more users?

It will take a while to get through round 1. I suggest starting now and add if people are interested.

my view is that you have to run games like this kind of like a dictatorship.

You should make decisions, otherwise if you try to run it like a democracy it won't last.

IMHO, you should make a random draft order, then for the remaining slots leave open to the draft order as new members join.

Hopefully by the time we get to pick 26 the league will be full.

Also decide on a clock time. Maybe like 12 hours or something

Let me put in some input to make sure this thing goes fast. After a pick, I think the person who picked should PM the next guy saying it's his turn. This way we don't have one person doing a lot of work in PM'ing everyone saying it's their turn.

For example if its my turn, the person before me should PM me, then i immediately know to go pick, and then i PM the next person.

I'm doing the random order right now. I like the idea of the person PM'ing the next person to let them know they are up. I'm down with a 12 hour OTC time. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or rejections speak up so I know how everyone feels.

well done boss. I don't think you need a new one. This one will do. Can you PM AllTimeGreat and tell him he has 12 hours to make the 1st pick.

I think the rule should be, once the clock expires the draft goes on without you, and once you come back into the thread you can make your pick from the available pool anytime you want.

what say you?

what if those 12 hours are while you're sleeping or doing s**t? most of the members are frequent posters so I don't think a time limit is needed. I like phats idea of having to pm the poster that follows you.

did we ever decide if this is going to be more of a single season speculation or franchise mode?

I guess we can just go either way, maybe at the end some teams might have better 3-5 yr outlooks while others look strong for 2010

I guess Peyton will probably go #1 either way

I think you should be in this thread frequent enough to be able to gauge what day you might have to check multiple times.

For example, for me I can tell I am at least 3 days away

There isn't going to be a time limit the first couple days until everyone is aware we've started. I sent a PM to ATG so hopefully this thing gets going soon. Once we set up a clock it will be the same as the NFL draft where someone else can run to the podium and make their pick. There will be some limitations but I haven't decided on them yet such as no clock running from midnight to ten in the morning.

if it's my pick and i exceed the time limit by a LOT, then pick me someone cool..
