I think he's pretty much past his prime. For the kind of money that he would want, I think the 49er's can do better. I like L.T. but based on what he's done the last couple of years, he's sliding downhill fast. Running backs don't last too long in this league.
I still recall when an infamous Joe Thomas traded for a WASHED UP O.J. Simpson and went 2-14 back in 1978. O.J. WAS the featured rusher for the 49er's, but gained LESS than 600 yards for the entire season. Hope they don't repeat the same mistake!
Same goes for T.O. who some here still think that he's worth his weight in gold!

World's of difference between Alexander and LT. I never was impressed with Alexander, he owes his NFL career numbers to Jones and Hutchinson. LT ran hella crazy for a good span and now is starting to get hurt and old. Look for him to wind up with New England 'ala Fred Taylor.

You misunderstood me bro i didnt mean career wise he compares to him
Alexander was average through his career L.T was pretty much a beast all through his career.
I am just saying that he went from being atop of his peak to all of a sudden just falling back to earth sort of like what is L.T is going through as we speak.

keep in mind. LT is NOT a great locker room guy. A lot of times these old has beens are more marketable if they can bring some kind of leadership with them. Not the case with LT. He was never a leader for San Diego, and prefers to pout alone on the bench when the Chargers are down.
Would you really want a 2 ypc guy hogging up an entire bench just for himself

I hear a lot of people saying/posting this. Do you have the link? Cus I don't remember an instance where Gore was slated to be unhappy about the pick.

I don't have a specific link to prove this. I did, however, read pretty much every article and watch every video during the last offseason and it was extremely evident. You could tell he wasn't happy with the idea about possibly sharing snaps and he showed it. Again, he was professional about it and didn't b***h or complain to the media, but there was a clear underlying message.
I invite you to go read the articles and watch the videos though... Just search "Gore" and "Coffee" on the forum search and in the news wire.

It's 3.3 YPC and, no, don't want him. Scot has proven he likes to draft RBs, not sign them. Signing LT doesn't seem likely to me.

I recall a couple articles after the draft where the reporters interviewed Gore. Maybe you could dig them up. But I didn't get the impression that Gore was all too keen to see his playing time diminish. He wanted to be the sole RB.
