After Crabs performance, I wonder if VD is going to start getting better looks.

He's not the type of receiver that makes it easy on the QB...you basically have to throw him wide open. If you don't...he probably won't catch it. He just doesn't fight for the ball.
It's ok. No one is a perfect player. His strengths far outweigh his weaknesses. His presence alone creates mismatch advantages, because he's a constant threat.

Yeah, he needed to come back to the ball and fight for it a couple times today. He could've had a TD early in the game on the one that almost got picked in the endzone, and he could've at least broke up the play if he fought for the ball on the interception.

Saw this stat on NFL Network. Most receiving TDs since 2009 (including playoffs):
1. Calvin Johnson - 52
2. Vernon Davis - 50
3. Gronkowski - 45
4. Jimmy Graham - 44
5 Fitzgerald - 43
Still under-rated outside of SF bay area.
To be fair, Gronk and Graham have only played 3.5 of that 5 year span though.
VD is highly underrated though, I agree. Im glad he got the All-Pro spot over Julius Thomas and Jordan Cameron.

So we're supposed to discredit Vernon's accomplishment because he's avoided major injury? lol

Gronk and Graham were drafted in 2010. Thus 2009 being counted skews the list.

It doesn't skew anything. Those are the players with the most receiving TDs since that year. lol

lol You love that little slapping smiley dont you?
Im not sure what were arguing about here. VD is a great player. Im not discrediting him at all. Just pointing out that Gronk and Graham are right on his tail with 1 less season played. The TE in todays game are becoming insanely good.

Did you ever check how many more attempts they get in those offenses with those QB's? And how many less attempts VD gets in his offense?.....
VD does more with less compared to anybody. Look at his yards average. He's awesome.

Love how Kap anticipated the throw. Risky but worth it.

I was posting during the game on this... Lots of trust between Kaep and VD. Kaep beat the safety by an arm's reach with that pass.
