Didn't Davis have two game losing drops with osweiler ? The raiders lost I know for sure
After those games is where Davis started seening more of the bench. Davis is just not good with play books and route running
Ya we was never the best route runner, he relied on his athleticism, getting tooo old for that now. But i feel like he might have a little something left.

Vernon was best for the power o scheme was a good blocker and could stretch the middle. Now that he's getting older and losing speed he'd only be a blocker.

Vernon still has his speed... But his awareness and toughness is what has been questioned.
I thought it had more to do with nagging injuries last year and this year...but I don't know anymore. If he still wants to play he needs to prove it.

The high majority disdain for Vernon Davis here makes no sense, he was a 2x Pro Bowler and a weapon like no other in his prime, it is pretty obvious father time and injuries he took rendered him old before his time. At the same time we have a QB here whose productivity has went down the drain, who never reached Vernon's heights who is still well thought of by half the Webzone. I don't understand what Vernon did to draw the ire of so many.
