One silver lining is there would have been a ton of pressure on us with Manning to be the super bowl favorite. Most of the time teams with that amount of pressure fail. As for Manning the guy shouldn't care about money with this deal because he can go and get millions of dollars in advertisements after he retires... he can make big money broadcasting or analyzing or teams would pay him big to be a coach.
If we win a SB with Alex I will feel we did it the right way and it would mean so much more than with Manning. This takes a lot of the media pressure off us. Lord knows Harbaugh wants to be an underdog.
