We're in the best position to probably take a risk on Manning; if he's healthy enough, win for us; if he ends up injured by week 5, the (eventual) inevitable happens anyways and Kaep comes in.
-If we're gonna spend over 10 million signing/re-signing a QB, might as well be one that's actually won a Championship game.

if peyton wants to win a sb and feels we give him the best shot he shouldnt be looking for 10 mil a yr, he needs to take a cap friendly contract to give baalke room to do moves. at this point of manning's career money shouldnt be an issue, im not expecting him to take 2 mil a yr but something about 6-8 with incentives should be good for him. its all about the ring for peyton and to catch and pass his brother.
