SI.com has learned from NFL sources that Manning actually underwent a fourth, unreported, medical procedure in the past two years, not three as has been widely known.Read more: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/don_banks/02/15/peyton/index.html#ixzz1mTp52kTI

Reading the rest of that, man that dude should just retire

P. Manning took Jim Harbaugh's job back in 97, JH went on to coach the guy (Andrew Luck) who will be taking Manning's job in 2012, and now Manning will ask Harbaugh for a job?

That would be crazy!

it would bring balance to the Force and prevent the Mayan apocalypse

Sounds more like the plot of a daytime soap opera!

Did I see it right? Peyton Manning with a pot belly in the picture accompanying the article.
Somebody needs to send Peyton a playbook.

LOL of what madden 2012? Because that's about all he'll be playing the next few months atleast.
I am not going to believe a word of any of this Manning talk. Of course the Colts dont want a favorable medical report on Manning. They want him back at a discount price and are hoping like crazy that all this negative talk will drive the price and number of suiters down to none. This is also why they were so upset with him wanting to play the last game.

Manning will be fine and will play again, and until I hear an official word I'm taking all of this "noodle arm" talk with a grain of salt. I hope he does play again and beats the hell out of the Colts.

it's not just the colts though. guys who were catching passes from him, michael lombardi, Jason La Canfora, Bob Kravitz(who would know since he is an Indy beat writer but not affiliated with the Colts), and a few more have said he's not close to playing right now. The only people who have said that's not the case are the people directly affiliated with Peyton, his doctor and Bill Polian.

Peter King says there's less than 1% chance Manning becomes a 9er: https://twitter.com/#!/SI_PeterKing/status/170374620803903488

He may very well retire this summer. All I'm saying is that all of this talk of certainty either way is ridiculous. Nobody knows for sure whats going to happen but as far as I've heard he still plans on playing. I never said he was 100%, but the fact that he was throwing at all says that he plans on playing and is working toward just that. Just because his arm strength has not returned as of now doesn't mean that it wont. I hope he plays elsewhere and the Colts aren't sitting with both Manning and Luck on the roster next season.
Would love to see him turn around the Dolphins.
