Not always. We couldn't have given the first pick away when we took Alex Smith.

if i remember right there were a few teams willing to move up, we just were not willing to give up any value to the chart. so we had to eat it.

i would hope we would not do that this year.

I'll root for the Panthers every time, even though I think Steve Smith is a little thug, Cards' guys like Rolle and Dockett suck, too! I'd never root for any division rival unless it's against the Cowboys or Raiders!
