Here's a quick little update for ya's. I didn't include the 6-win teams in the hopes that Carolina doesn't get another win. Carolina also has the 2nd hardest SOS, so I guess if they tie with anyone, they get bumped to the later pick
Tampa Bay 1-12
St Louis 1-12
Detroit 2-11
Cleveland 2-11
Kansas City 3-10 (Cle, @ Cin, @ Den)
Washington 4-9 (Gia, Dal, @ SD)
Oakland 4-9 (@ Den, @ Cle, Balt)
Buffalo 5-8 (NE, @ ATL, Indy)
Carolina 5-8 (Min, @ NYG, NO)
Chicago 5-8 (@ Balt, Min, @ Det)
Seattle 5-8 (TB, @ GB, Tenn)
Tampa Bay 1-12
St Louis 1-12
Detroit 2-11
Cleveland 2-11
Kansas City 3-10 (Cle, @ Cin, @ Den)
Washington 4-9 (Gia, Dal, @ SD)
Oakland 4-9 (@ Den, @ Cle, Balt)
Buffalo 5-8 (NE, @ ATL, Indy)
Carolina 5-8 (Min, @ NYG, NO)
Chicago 5-8 (@ Balt, Min, @ Det)
Seattle 5-8 (TB, @ GB, Tenn)

The bolded teams have the best chance to have at least six wins and for the looks of it we might end up picking at eight spot. I can see chicago beating detroit and Seachickens beating Tampa. That will possible put them in a 6-10 record and if the panthers loose the rest.

Not a bad situation for us. I mean I really could see a lot of these teams winning 1 or 2 games. I mean carolina must lose out which could and should happen. But look at it:
Seatle should beat either TB or Tenn
Chicago should beat either Balt or Det
Buffalo could very well beat a rested Indy with nothing to play for
Oakland could really beat any 2 of those three teams left
Washington could very well beat the giants and dallas
Carolinas pick could be as high as 6 but is safe to say it could easily be no higher than 8. I think It will be 8, so lets go washington and oakland and prove me wrong.

The giants will be playing at home for the playoffs. Carolina on the road will be playing for what little pride remains.
Looks like 49ers pick 8 or 9. Buff got NEng (not hitting on all cylinders) Atl (quarterback ?) and Indy (resting for playoffs)
Sea plays the Rams and Chgo still has Det.

Carolina will not likely win any of their remaining games but we will know all about it in three weeks.
At 7 through 10, the 49ers will get a player that should be a starter by the end of training camp. Hopefully that will be an OT.

How is that trade looking now with the Panthers? Everett Brown doesn't seem to be doing anything spectacular but he is a rookie and the entire team is doing bad. The jury is still out on him. I think Scotty and the 49ers are looking pretty good right now with that extra pick in the first round, depending on who we come up with.
Thoughts?

It should be a top 10 pick.

This is how New England felt when they traded their pick for the Joe Staley trade. We all hoped it would be a bottom 20-25 spot, it was a top 8 pick. Although Staley has worked out, Balmer has been a big ?? if they kep that pick, they could have gotten whomever instead of Staley and got Ryan Clady the next year or Sedrick Ellis.
I think Scott learned by his mistake and rectified it this year.
