Great news for Frank HOFer Gore. A true beast and all timer. Keeping Hyde over him turned out to be a travesty.
Love you Frank
Wish we would have snagged him. We could have carried Mckinnon, Frankie, and Brieda.

Boom! Called it weeks ago. Congrats Frank. Show your hometown you still got it.

Stoney knows.
I'm happy for Frank. This will be a good way for him to wrap it up.

Great place for him to go. Mentor Drake and whoever else they bring in. He has a great chance to get those yards and make even more history!

oh god why, Frank deserves better than this
I doubt he had a ton of options. Miami is a good spot for him with a smart offensive coach. He can finish off the year and then come back to the Bay Area to retire as a 49er.
Yeah, writing was on the wall for him. It's just sad that he'll go out playing with a crap OL and Tannehill as his QB. At least Gase will probably be the best offensive coach he'll play for aside from Norv. 14 years in the league, you'd think the guy would catch a break, but every year he was stuck with either a crappy QB, crappy OL, crappy coaching, or all of the above. 2012 was probably the only year that everything came together around him.
Very curious to see if he can keep up with Kenyan Drake. You can always tell whether a back can still play by comparing him to his teammates behind the same OL. Frank absolutely crushed his backups in 2015-16, and his stats were basically even with Marlon Mack last year, despite Mack not having to handle short yardage attempts.

seriously. it's like having another OL back there on passing downs.
Yes he can pass protect, yes, I love the story behind him coming back, yes, he's a top 3 all time favorite player of mine....
But he's just not a fit for the Niners or this offense. He finally has slowed down (notably his past 3 years in IND) to the point that it just doesn't make sense, especially in an offense where you've gotta get around the corner in a hurry.
That said, I love that he's signed somewhere and can go out on his own terms after beating Curtis Martin for 4th all time.

I really wish he would of retired here but his home town seems to work just fine. Good for him.
Who knows though. Maybe there is a one dollar one day deal in a year or so from the niners.

I think there is a one day contract in his future. Lynch and Shanahan will be all over that I'm sure.
