He possibly could as his style of running doesn't require break away speed. Even though he was a break away player when he was young his bread and butter has always been finding creases and leaning forward for extra yardage while avoiding the big hits.

I love the dude. But that would be super human. I don't see 2,000+ more yards from Gore. I be shocked if he goes another season and gets 1,000.
