I think it's a good hire for the Raiders. Cable led the Raiders to a 4-8 record and kept them from finishing last in the division this year. He has an OC & QB coach who should help get the most of out Jamarcus Russell. I do question the move to hire John Marshall as DC however, I think they could have done better.

He's a former coach of the 49ers....so the move makes sense in that aspect. But remember, its a two way street. Would any other coaches want to interview/accept a position there? They got declined more times than I did at the clubs last weekend.
