Ward, just don't believe in today's NFL that small corners are the way to go. I get it that he's an elite talent, but there are other elite talents that also are better scheme fits.

Chris Harris Jr, Casey Hayward, Ronald Darby, Jason Verrett, Malcom Butler, Janoris Jenkins, TreDavious White and Jonathan Joseph are very confused by the love of 6 foot plus corners.

I wouldn't like Ward at #9 for the simple fact that i like Oliver and Alexander better for our system.

I still think there is a strong chance we jump into the 20's with a second first round pick, and target our CB1 there.

However, if they like Ward as CB1 in this draft, there is certainly an argument to be made for him at #9.

I have no problem with Ward but I think we could trade back and get him or just draft another Corner later. I don't wanna see another DL. Or Safety unless it's james or Fitz even though I wanna see what Colbert can do with his opportunity. I want Roquan to play next to Foster with pick #9.
Out of those names: Ridley. I prefer o-line if we go offense.

I actually wouldnt mind drafting projects such as Edmunds and Davenport. I've been a hedge fund manager by occupation for more than 15 years so I'm heavily bias on potential especially for small school prospects (or small caps stocks).
Davenport. If memory serves he got handled by the kid from Humbolt state- in one on ones- during the senior bowl work outs.

I switched mine to roquan Smith now. Rubin's playing so in my eyes it was a waste in the first place but it is now really a waste

Yep let's have two undersized linebackers
Ridley
McGlinchey
James, Ward, Davenport
Smith, Fitzpatrick
Landry, Edmunds
Nelson, Barley

I'd add AJ Bouye to that who plays in the same scheme, and does it pretty damn well.

No, James or Ward.

I don't hate McGlinchey but to me he's not better than Brown or Staley right now. Maybe he'd be better than Brown eventually in this scheme...but maybe not.

All those other guys can be better than what we have right now. I wouldn't want Ridley at #9 because I don't think the value is there and Jimmy can obviously work with what we have but Ridley in this offense with Kyle and Jimmy would be amazing.

McGlinchey to me is a solid RT, maybe even a really good RT at best. But the other guys have potential to be elite players at more impact positions.
If I had to pick one it would be Minkah, but I would also hate it pretty much equally if we drafted Derwin James or McGlinchey at 9.

How can anyone hate on Minkah? You can question the need but how can you question/not want the player?

How many true freshman start on that Bama D?

Dee Milliner did also
I know he is popular around these parts, but I voted Harold Landry. I just don't see it.

haha, yep. I also felt the same way about Dontari Poe and Alshon Jeffrey, so Landry will probably turn into a pro-bowler.
