What are the odds Green Bay trades up from 14 for Fitzpatrick and the Niners take Landry there?

I would be surprised if the Niners passed on Fitzpatrick (assuming all other blue chip non-QBs are off the board)

You make a valid point. It will really be, just go bpa, or is there a viable trade offer on the table they are willing to take.

TF everyone got us going DB for?
Sherman, Spoon at corner
Williams at Nickle
Tartt, Colbert at safety
We're set. We ain't using a top 10 pick for depth.

BPA. Also our secondary features a guy coming off an Achilles injury, 2 guys who went on IR last year (Ward, Tartt), and no depth.
I like Roquan more, but if he's gone Minkah is a nice 1b
Edit - Ward is also in a contract year, so he could be gone next year.

Figure Ward mixes in there somewhere as well.
My odds:
Landry 2:1
Smith 2.5:1
Fitz. 5:1

So you're saying we probably can make some cash betting on Landry to us. This pick gets better and better.

Thanks, but we still have worse scenarios elsewhere and going DB with what we have would be a luxury pick.
LB - Smith too is coming off the IR and you have a problem if Brock Coyle is your current top option
LEO - We have none. Best option currently on the roster was picked up off the waiver wire (Marsh) which tells you about the guys behind him.
Guard - How JG can get rid of the ball quickly and still be one of the most hit QBs in the league is a big red flag. Also, you absolutely need something for the Donald/Suh tandem unless you want cleat marks on JG's leg.

Yup. Of course s**t could go wrong with Sherman but if you're assuming Sherman will be fine then it makes sense to fix other positions on d. Why would you bench Williams or Spoon?

What's weird is how many 'experts' mock Ward to us. He doesn't seem to fit our scheme at all.

I wonder what Sportsline's track record is...anyway, I see Edmunds as the first Niner pick. It could be Roquan Smith, but TE's size, range & versatility are off the charts. Saleh has to not only replace Foster, but upgrade the LB corps, given even a healthy Marquis Smith is only part of the fix. Lloyd's entering his contract season and I don't see Lynch re-signing him. It's why I think JL needs to grab Josey Jewell, too. If JL plans to re-sign Reid (definitely possible) it would lessen the chance he drafts Fitzpatrick.

Or Smith. However, I would put some money on Edmunds at 6 to 1.
