Making a thread because this is a guy that the 49ers have already met with. He's having himself a pretty good combine, putting up 42 reps at the bench press at 307 pounds. He's an intriguing prospect that the team could look as a potential NT of the future and replacement for Mitchell.

Phillips had a good showing at the Senor Bowl and was one of the best pass rushing DT in the country, in addition to be a good run stopper. Niners could do a lot worse than picking Phillips in the draft. Don't know how long Phillips will last in the draft, but think the Niners will need a couple more early round picks if they want to get a CB, WR, edge rusher and a guy like Phillips in the draft.

6-3 307, 33 7/8" arms, 10 3/8" arms...to go with the 42 reps at 225lbs
