Do you mean Rosen or Darnold? No one in this class or any class has a more powerful arm than Allen. Allen has a more powerful arm than all but 2-3 guys in the NFL (he's about even with Mahomes and Stafford). Highly doubt another QB in the class can throw a football 80 yards or we would have heard about it.

It's by far the most overrated attribute. As Kyle Boller, Jamarcus Russel, Jay Cutler, Brock Osweiler, Colin Kaepernick and Mike Vick and list goes on have shown that arm strength doesn't make for a consistent winner. They can make some incredible throws and follow it up with a ground ball on the next pass.

Yet, you have scouts orgasming at the mouth for a guy who can throw 70+ yards downfield. Stupid idiots.

For me it's Rosen...he throws a great deep ball and has awesome touch on the ball. Falk does, too. It's not so much a matter of how strong your arms is, but how accurate you are. When Elway first got in the NFL, he had to tone down his throws some because he was actually hurting his receivers' hands. Favre had similar issues with GB. Montana didn't have a great arm, but he was sure accurate and has the SB rings to prove it's not how hard you throw that really matters.

I still remember scouts losing their minds over Kyle Boller throwing 70 yards from his knees. If I remember correctly he did throw it into a trash can. Which is impressive. Lol good times.

Allen, by far. Jackson's arm is underrated too.

who currs arm strength is a luxury thing to have. Of course you don't want a guy with a Shaun Hill arm to start in harsh conditions, but look at Pennington, he threw probably 20 mph but he was accurate af.

Arm strength is fantastic if the rest of the package is there. But there are many factors I'd put more priority arm over it assuming you don't have a noodle arm.
Imagine Joe Montana with a cannon like Jeff George. He could have been an even bigger nightmare to defend. Or a guy with absurd athleticism and pocket passing ability. Tom Brady with 4.4 40 speed.

Seems like if Allen comes out, someone like the Colts/Giants would nab him in the top 4.
