2018 Pass Rushers

An NFC director of scouting said that Kansas edge rusher Dorance Armstrong Jr. "will help himself at the combine."

"Don't read too much into that sack total this year (Armstrong recorded two in 2017). They didn't really cut him loose this year," the scout said, adding that he remains a big fan of Armstrong as a prospect even despite his drop in production. The 6-foot-4, 241-pounder posted 10 sacks during his breakout 2016 season with the Jayhawks. In a rare cross-sport scouting observation, NFL Media's Lance Zierlein refers to him as possessing the "build and fluid athleticism of a shooting guard." The analyst compares Armstrong to former Browns edge rusher Kamerion Wimbley, who was drafted with the No. 13 overall pick in 2006. We don't expect the Kansas stud to rise quite that high, but he's a good bet to be off the board by the end of Day 2.
