i think they were stupid to not prioritize their O-line....AGAIN! i feel bad for Wilson. Id be pissed if i were him.
Especially after losing their starting RT to us, they are even thinner on the line. They only added Joeckel, who is below average, and mid round pick.
They should have grabbed Ramzyck when they had the chance instead of trading with us

Hawks also traded out and allowed the Falcons to get stronger too IIRC.

People have been hesitant to question them because they've been so successful, but nearly all that success can be attributed to their 2010-2012 draft classes. Since then they've been flat out bad in the draft. Most of their strange choices have indeed turned out to be bad picks.
The one guy I was hoping they would draft is Malik McDowell, and they did lol. He's got a ton of talent, but I picked him as the guy most likely to bust. Can't believe they passed on Forrest Lamp.
THIS. I really liked Lamp (not gonna do it) and Ramczyck, and I was certain they'd go for one of them, maybe put Ramczyck at LG for a year before moving him to LT when the Joekel experiment blows up. Two great OL for what they do, and they let both go by for a notorious under-achiever. I think they believe Carroll's enthusiasm is contagious enough that they can motivate slackers to hit their potential, I just haven't seen that really happen.

The list of defensive linemen that the Seahawks have developed into studs is a very short one.
That's true

It's kind of ironic...we're building a Seattle-style defense and they helped us get a freakin' stud. I love our front 7,,,big, quick and versatile. Saleh got his stud NT...Jones was a steal in the 6th rd. What was so bad last year has a chance to be real good at some point in 2017. Foster will take some of the load off Bowman...and the team will benefit. Saleh knows how to use Malcom Smith...the Raiders didn't. Lynch/Shanahan have gone a long way toward building a bully defense...and Niner fans all over the world should be extremely pumped about that.

They went in with 7 picks and got 11, what is everyone gloating about?

Seattle went from 7 to 11 by essentially moving down 8 spots. I like the play here in theory, but I think it was a case of wrong place-wrong time. That offensive line is still hot garbage and they failed to address it when they had the opportunities to do so.
I am extremely happy they traded with the Niners. Letting us get Foster could prove to be genius, or a grave mistake. If this turns out to be Aldon Smith Jr, they played it like a champ. If we get the next great LB it will be a trade talked about for decades and more than likely a reminder to teams on why you don't trade picks with division rivals.
It won't be long before this division is up for grabs.

I wasn't a fan of trading in the division, but in this case as it turns out it might be a legendary story.

Before the trade with us, during and all through the draft, a few of us were joking around about how confused Seattle was... they missed out on a lot of oline guys who could be solid depth and even starters on their average oline (they have no depth on that unit). The trade with us was the biggest lol to me (I'm like wtf are these dumb ****s thinking).
They had a lot of picks, which is great to have, but what good is that when those average college guys aren't going to take any starter's jobs away... they needed one or two starters right away. It's not like they sucked like we have as of late...
The oline is okay but in need of depth and the secondary isn't the same old LOB. I saw they drafted a bunch of DBs, but most of them are probably going to the PS if lucky. Tis just my opinion

On point!
I will LMAO for days if Foster turns out to be an elite specimen and wreaks havoc on the division. Seattle will be like WTF was FO thinking during that trade / draft. Someone's ass should / could get canned for some dumb s**t like that trade. I love it!!

A lot of teams trade picks within the division. I don't think there's any "cardinal rule" against it.
They probably wanted the extra picks to move down 3 spots. They're drafts have been terrible since 2011 besides Wilson and Lockett.

They may not have in the past and in this draft as well... big mistake. LOB (particularly Kam, Thomas, shermy) aren't young anymore and may be injury prone.
Their oline's / Cable have been fortunate that Willow is elusive, pretty good, and lucky a lot of times, but that won't last long... their oline is okay and lacks solid depth. All it's going to take is one starter to go down and another to have a lingering injury to deplete them, which will have them counting on that mediocre depth. It happened already.
They've probably been a little too cocky and quite fortunate (lucky) in my opinion. Their salary cap.........

trading with division rivals isn't really a big issue. If it works out in their favor, they took our picks and we picked someone who ended up not being much. (this is an example of what they were thinking)
it jus so happens we might get a star from the trade and they missed out on the top Olinemen.
