Maybe cciowa can inject some optimism wrt Beathard.
My phone autocorrected to beat hard instead of beathard.

Does anyone have info on him other than lynch?
This isn't Stanzi!!!
Don't most autocorrect functions use some algos that bring up most commonly used words? Do you type beat hard a lot on your phone?
is this some type of new dem dere memes you millennium kids are talking about?
Joe, Tom, now beat hard
Don't know much about this QB. Just watched some of his 2015 highlights. Saw some nice throws. Might be something there.

You've got to take chances if you want to find a QB. Maybe Shanahan see's something here. But on the other hand, there were much better players available.

Scrub.

Man, Bucky Brooks and Lance Zierlein were absolutely shocked and speechless. It was so God damn funny. LOL.

Believe it or not I had CJ Beathard on my personal board #116. Hes a dual threat QB that can make plays inside and outside the pocket.

Grandson of Bobby Beathard, so he's probably been around the game a while.
I kind of liken him to Scott Tolzien with better tools. When he gets on a roll, Iowa puts up points (mainly his junior year).
But, he's not always on a roll, which is why he generally wasn't regarded highly. IMO he has a tendency to eat dirt (get beat hard) in big games. Not sure if that's trying to do too much or simply being overwhelmed by better talent. His interviews and pro day must've made Shanahan think it's the former.
So we took him and not Petermen
I am not sure about this pick. We will see. I think we could have picked him later and still got him.
Hopefully he gets to wear his college number, 16. That would be pretty cool
