I am torn on Garrett. On one hand, I watch his games in 2016 and agree with Warren Sapp's criticism of his play. I see a few splash plays and lack of heart the rest of the game. He'll get matched up with a backup TE and go nowhere on multiple passing situations, looking more like a 5th rounder at best than the first overall. Then he flips on the switch and is unstoppable.
Factoring in injury, and the preparation he did to post really strong measurables at the combine, I just think the NFL will help him turn into a more consistent performer.
To be a Pro Bowler, you just have to get one sack a game. At 16 sacks, you are in the Pro Bowl. He's probably going to get those sack numbers. My bigger concern is the play after play consistency. Does he really want to be great? Will he lay everything on the field on each down?
If you could take the heart of Barnett and put it into the body of Garrett, you would have a Hall of Famer, and maybe one of the greats.
