MadDog49er 2017 Big 253 Board April 23 2017

Greetings to all!

I cannot believe that one week from now the draft will be complete. Each team can celebrate the opening of their Spring Christmas presents and prep for the future. As always, I am pumped, and hope to be with the board for the vast majority of the three days (with some slight interruptions for soccer matches, kiddie tuck-in time, laundry, and more).

Here is the latest board. I will send one forward the day before the draft, and then, let the party begin. As always, please help with wrong teams listed, players in wrong positions, duplications The world of Excel is sometimes not excel-lent.

Couple notes: When players are invited to private workouts by a LOT of teams, it usually means they are red hot in the draft. Everyone knows who is travelling and where, and that pushes prospects up. I sense that Patrick Mahomes is one of these guys, and I project him earlier than anyone (of the two or three mocks...I don't like them, and in most cases, don't care) I know of. Let's call him the future of the LA Chargers once Rivers is done. I also project a big slide for Foster. Great talent, but the dude has a LOT of issues. Reddick-hot; Watt-hot; Evans and Maye-hot; The who knows crowd? Ross- how bad are his knees?; McDowell-how bad were his interviews?..I heard they were really bad; How do teams feel about Foster?

My personal Best Board is dropping soon, with Lamp moving onto the winner's podium for the bronze medal, after Garrett and Solomon. My personal draft seems set, based on what happens. It looks like a love affair with:

So Devonte Fields doesn't make the 253?

I like solomon or hooker at 2.

If Kevin King is available with our 2nd round pick do you think we might take him? When i look at him he looks like a Seahawks db, aggressive and kind of an attitude. We are thin at corner and we are trying to switch to a new defensive scheme.

I'd be pretty bummed if the first 4 rounds went as you are hoping

I'd be happy with Thomas, a LB, a WR and TE.

I respect your list but I have a major issue with Solomon Thomas being the overall number 2 player on your list its just ridiculous that he is ranked that high because I just don't think he is a defensive end pash rusher . I think he is a 3-technique DT but I also don't think he will last that long because I don't think he is big enough at 270 lbs to play in the middle I think he will get man handled in the national football league because this is a mans league . I like Solomon Thomas but I would have him ranked around the 7th or 8th best player . I also have a problem with you ranking leonard fournette as the 8th best player that is also a little ridiculous but it seems like every so called expert has about 8 players ranked all over the board . That's why this years draft is gonna be unpredictable no one really knows how it will go down there will be some surprises just like last year . Remember last year when that great offensive lineman from ole miss started to fall in the draft after that video was leaked of him smoking weed out of a gas mask that was just hilarious if u ask me lol .

I believe this is more of a draft slot projection, a mock without teams if you will, as opposed to a talent board. I think he's gonna post his talent board shortly

He's a guy that's probably at best a sixth round because he is strictly an outside linebacker but you tack on the domestic violence charges and other problems he's had along the way and I just think he falls out of the draft. as always I could be wrong but I think guys with better character like Matt Milano will get picked up before him

This is not a mock because there could be so many trades although I do have many slots in the first round matched up with players . it is also not a best board but I do have Thomas as my second best player

King is my number three corner in the draft so that would not be a bad pick at all
