The latest "report" the Niners are considering Fournette at #2 could actually work in their favor. Other potential suitors might get nervous and work to trade up to get him. I'm pretty sure Carolina would really like to have him and have some doubts he'd still be on the board at #8.

Goddamn browns are teasing me. Are they really gonna pass up on Garrett?

Love the suspense this time of the year and we're in the middle of it all! We've been link to almost all the players in the first round which means anything can happen or in play in case of a trade down. Exciting to say the least!

The Browns appear to be looking to trade down and are hoping some team is in love enough with one of those prospects to give up several draft picks for the right to select them. I don't expect anyone to bite and that Cleveland will ultimately be taking Garrett at #1 just as expected.

Cleveland has not made up its mind at No. 1, per source. Split opinions. Some like Myles Garrett, some like Mitchell Trubisky. We will see.
Cleveland caught wind that Shanahan worked out Trubisky personally, now they throw this out there. lol

"Caught wind?" It wasn't exactly a secret. And when's the last time teams w/ the first 2 picks didn't work out the top QB? 2013?

If Cleveland goes gull Cleveland Browns mode and passes on Garrett...
What would you think is reasonable compensation to trade with a team that really wants Garrett?
I mean of course we all want him but if a team is offering multiple 1st's and a 2nd do you take it?

Hell to the no. You don't pass on a player like Myles Garrett. You take him & don't look back. It'd be like trading Julius Peppers away for... say... Roy Williams (the safety), Andre Gurode & Terrence Newman. A jumble bag of crap / decent players for a HOFer? No.

Eh. If a team like the jets or jags come calling with a 1st 2nd this year, 1st 2nd next year, and 1st year 3. You have to consider it. Or even the browns.
Teams that are top 10 every year. It would give the niners the ammo to get the QB they absolutely want.
Or ammo to trade back every year and constantly have 2 1st rounders and 2 or 3 2nd rounders.
But short of a franchise changing trade you take myles. I would give up 1 HoF for 4 or 5 all pros. But i also hate being dependant on 1 player.

I agree. I'm sure the Browns would leak fake news just to sweeten up a trade. There's always that one team that is willing to deal a lot of picks to move up.
Shoot say they pass and Garrett falls to us? Do we use that leverage to trade back? IMHO I would. Especially given the fact that we need a lot of bodies. A lot of holes to fill.

I wouldn't trade back, I'd just take Garrett. Sometimes you got to take quality over quantity.

I want to see the Browns fans reaction on draft day when their team picks Trubisky at #1.
