He may have shown remorse and he reminds me of LT, but no. This isn't the way you start fresh with a new front office, not gonna happen. Close thread.

I have a feeling Trader Bill will pick him in the first round to give Brady another weapon.

1. Joe Mixon's Rehab Effort Is Working
In a recent meeting with an NFL franchise, Oklahoma running back Joe Mixon was asked a simple question: Why did you do it?
Mixon's answer, a team official told Bleacher Report, was contemplative and thoughtful. And while the official wouldn't tell B/R exactly what Mixon said, he felt Mixon's answer was sincere.
Mixon's willingness in recent weeks to address the character issues that have swirled around him after he was caught on video punching a woman in the face has transformed his image, according to that team official. Not just within that team, but around much of the league.
Indeed, people around the NFL now tell me Mixon is moving up draft boards.
It's long been believed that Mixon, like Ray Rice, would suffer because his assault was caught on video, and that video would embarrass any team that drafted him. Thus, he either wouldn't be drafted or he'd be selected late. Several team officials say at least four franchises have removed Mixon from their draft boards.
But in this case, I believe Mixon's rise is accurate. He seems to be impressing teams with his sincerity. Teams that once feared taking him are no longer as scared to do so.
Not only is his draft stock improving, but some teams say no player is moving up draft boards faster than Mixon. Apparently he's checking every box as he meets with various franchises.
Mixon might now go as high as the second round. Some even believe the late first round is in play. (Still, remember the first rule of Draft Club.)

Report: Joe Mixon could still be drafted in first round
For several NFL teams, Joe Mixon is a player who is considered untouchable no matter how talented he is or how impressive his tape looks. For others, the former Oklahoma running back just might be a first-round pick.
For at least one team, the 20-year-old's openness when discussing the incident has gone a long way toward improving his image.
It should be noted that at least four NFL teams have removed Mixon from their draft boards entirely. Others, however, have reevaluated their stances due to his "sincerity."
Anything could happen in next month's draft, but there was once a belief that Mixon would find himself in football exile after the video was released that showed him punching a woman. The reality is Ray Rice's blacklisting probably had as much to do with his age as it did with the horrific crime he committed.
Like it or not, winning almost always trumps morality in the NFL.

Money trumps all in football. The NFL and most owners probably aren't willing to alienate female fans especially with the recent decline in ratings. I wonder how teams are going to try and explain away the video during the pink month.

Don't want this guy.
Anyone who cold cocks someone with that much violence is an a*****e and a punk. Doesn't matter if it's a man or woman, doesn't matter what trash they're talking, that punch could have been fatal. You don't get to king hit people who annoy you.
If he makes it to the NFL he's going to meet a lot of grown-ass men with wives and daughters who are going to ride him mercilessly to see if he'll take a swing at them instead and call him a coward who only hits women if he doesn't. If he doesn't flip out and have a bust up in training camp I give it half a season before it happens on the field.

KC and Seattle didn't have to spin anything. Winning speaks volumes and trumps everything.
I think Mixon will go in the first round. The guy is insanely talented. Some team will gladly take the heat to have him, and I doubt fat Eddie Lacy precludes Seattle from grabbing Mixon. Pete the cheat can't wait.

Think whatever you wish WRT Mixon, but there's no way Lynch drafts him. Not when McCaffrey, Hunt, McNichols, Hill, et al are available with no baggage.

I found this poll in the Mercury News. Seems almost 2/3 of the voters are willing to forgive and forget as long as he's remorseful and talented.
Should the Raiders or 49ers draft Joe Mixon?
YES. HE'S REMORSEFUL AND HE'S TALENTED 64.63% (106 votes)
NO. NEITHER TEAM NEEDS THE HEADACHE 35.37% (58 votes)
TOTAL VOTES: 164
Oakley's Joe Mixon has been filled with remorse for punching a woman in the face and it seems some NFL teams are willing to take a chance on the star running back in the upcoming draft.
While it's hard to believe much of what NFL teams say prior to the draft, Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman reports no one is moving up the draft boards quicker than Mixon.
Since his deplorable act 2 1/2 years ago, Mixon has been contrite, insisting that's not who he is. He's said the right things. He's stayed out of trouble. Many NFL teams reportedly believe Mixon's sincerity.
And, most importantly to some teams, the former Freedom High star remains among the most talented running back in the nation while at Oklahoma.
Once believed to be undraftable, could a rehabilitated Mixon be taken as high as the second round? Maybe someone desperate for a playmaker late in the first round takes the 20-year-old University of Oklahoma star?
We'll all find out on April 27 when the draft begins in Philadelphia.

I wonder how many women see that video and knowing the verbal abuse coming out and think that bish asked for it. Seriously wonder how many would think that?
