Glory's 2017 dream offseason

Disclaimer: I spent no more than an hour compiling this dream list. It's probably not very realistic especially the landing of Cousins as WAS will probably franchise him again. But the trade up and the draft slots are reasonable based on what I found on the net. And the depth at LB is probably a little too much but dang there will be no drop off. I didn't complete depth chart or the 53 man roster (so no projected releases/trades), and I sure as hell didn't calculate the salary cap implications.

I'm sure you'll like some of the aspects so look at it in bits and pieces. We're probably screwed at QB if we can't land Cousins but I'm sure we'll have some stop-gap options and we'll be competitive right away with our defense and other key offensive pieces:

GM, HC, OC, DC – whatever just as long as we get one of the top combos:

Free Agency:

QB: (WAS) Kirk Cousins, 6-3, 210
WR: (CLE) Terrelle Pryor, 6-4, 225
OG: (DAL) Ronald Leary, 6-3, 317
OLB: (SDC) Melvin Ingram, 6-2, 265
ILB: (NE) Donta Hightower, 6-4, 218

Trade our #2 to Carolina for their 1-8, 2-8, and next year's #1:

Draft picks (centerpiece picks in Foster, McKinley, and Williams (Reid is probably gone after next year)

Round 1 | #8: Reuben Foster, ILB, Alabama, 6-1, 240
Round 2 | #2: Takkarist McKinley, OLB, UCLA, 6-2, 260
Round 2 | #8: Marcus Williams, S, Utah, 6-2, 200
Round 3 | #2: Amara Darboh, WR, Michigan, 6-1, 215
Round 4 | #2: Dalvin Tomlinson, NT, Alabama, 6-3, 315
Round 5 | #2: Jehu Chesson, WR, Michigan, 6-3, 220
Round 6 | #2: Jamaal Williams, RB, BYU, 6-1, 200
Round 6 | #20: Isaac Asiata, OG, Utah, 6-3, 325
Round 7 | #1: Corn Elder, CB, Miami, 5-10, 175
Round 7 | #2: Daniel Carlson, PK, Auburn, 6-4, 220

Depth Chart:

QB: Kirk Cousins (Maybe Landry Jones or trade for Tyrod Taylor?)
RB: Carlos Hyde | Jamaal Williams | Shaughn Draughn
WR1: Terrelle Pryor | Jehu Chesson
WR 2: Torrey Smith | Amara Darboh
WR 3: Jeremy Kerley | Bruce Ellington
TE: Vance McDonald | Garrett Celek | Blake Bell
LT: Joe Staley | Andrew Tiller
LG: Jonathan Garnet | Issac Asiata
C: Daniel Kilgore | Zane Beadles
RG: Ronald Leary | Zane Beadles
RT: Trent Brown | Andrew Tiller

DE: Arik Armstead | Quinton Dial
NT: Dalvin Tomlinson | Glenn Dorsey
DE: Brenston Buckner |
OLB: Takkarist McKinley | Aaron Lynch
ILB: Donta Hightower | Reuben Foster
ILB: Navarro Bowman | Ray Ray Armstrong
OLB: Melvin Ingram | Ahmad Brooks
CB: Tramaine Brock | Keith Reaser
CB: Rashard Robinson | Dontae Johnson
CB: Jimmie Ward | Corn Elder
SS: Jaqueeski Tartt | Marcus Williams
FS: Eric Reid | Marcus Williams
Well at least you know it's not realistic lol.

Just curious who are the Panthers trading that much for?

I like picking up Leary. I personally would go Corner instead of Safety in the 2nd. That way we can move Ward to FS and this draft is LOADED with corners. Desmond King in the early 2nd. Fun mock though. Some outside the box thinking. But I am not a fan of Foster. I think Cunningham will be the better pro.

You could also look at Kevin King, from Washington, around the 2nd, 3rd or a bit later who is around 6'3 for CB.

Like the moves however Brooks has a 8.9 million cap number. We would keep Harold over him as a backup. Also I don't see you signing Hightower and drafting Foster. Also I think we would be looking for whichever top wr that drops out of round 1 with one of our 2nd round picks. I wouldn't mind getting Curtis Samuel to backup Hyde and play in the spot. He had 700 receiving yards this season and over 700 rushing. But I love 2 LBs with our first 2 picks.
DE: Brenston Buckner

We have a 45 year old Defensive Line Coach starting at DE?!?!?

Nooooooooooo Thanks!

Meh I think tall corners get overrated every year. Kevin King is good but not nearly on the level of Desmond.
