Okay Kolohe would you be happier if we traded to say the 31st spot to take Ross. Also he didn't specify what part of second round?

Again not realistic, it would still take next years 1st or 2nd, you don't really need to specify where. If you've watched the draft as long as I have you would know that it's not realistic, there's also the draft value chart up above, but mind you it's guidelines and not actual rules to go by.

Am I missing something? Our second round pick is 34th overall. If we moved up to 28 according to the draft value chart by Drafttek we'd need 100 points which is an early 4th like ours. And he's throwing in a sixth to take a swing.

For one, to get back into the 1st it will take the following seasons 1st round pick. And to get back into the 2nd, it will either take the following seasons 1st or 2nd round pick.
And Tyrod Taylor and Patrick Mahomes, how does that fix the QB situation, horrible.

1 question what did it take for the niners to trade back onto the 1st last year..? when they took Garnett from Stanford..? it didn't take a 1st for the next yr..so I guess you must have happened to miss last years draft..lol it took their 2nd, 4th and a 6th for the 28th pick..also a QB duo of Taylor and Mahomes is definitely an upgrade to Kap and Gabbert..but thanks for your opinion..

no your not missing anything your right and my trades are on point, I think he might be confused or something..also moving back into the 60s in the 2nd would only cost 350 so send thing them our early 3rd worth about 250 plus our early 5th is 40 our early 7th 14 and our 5th next year which will be around 40 is about even with 350..

lol funny stuff. Must've been looking at too many mocks. He thinks we traded our second for someone or something and thus woulda took say next years first to move up for a late first.
Tannehill would be not a bad option as well, or if Romo became available for next years third at best that gets reduced if he misses an X amount of games. Just other options Incase someone doesn't like Tyrod.

Garrett, Ross and Mahomes is 3 of my favorite prospects and Zach Brown would be terrific next to Bow imo

we traded back into the 1st for a 4th and 6th this past draft to move up to the same spot
I agree about the QB situation.

One of the best so far, glad you're not giving away a truckload for the Pats backup. Only fault don't think Ross will be around.

I can get down with everything outside of the QB situation...I think we have Ross in Smith already. We need a big bodied WR IMO.
Mahomes while I like is most likely staying another yr and I just can't get behind Taylor (and giving him $16 million).

Changes I'd make to what you've proposed:
- Resign Kerley and cut Ellington (who has done jack s**t and is always hurt)
- Resign Brooks! Why do people always think we should cut our best OLB and sack leader? Sure, he's aging but hasn't shown signs of slowing down. Make Lynch or Harold beat him for the job before you consider cutting him loose.
- Don't trade draft picks away for a WR. There will probably be some good QBs available in the late 1st/early 2nd. Maybe trade up a few spots from our 2nd rounder for a QB, but don't trade away all those mid-round picks for a WR. We need ILB help.
Look to FA for WR help this year, and use the draft to get a pass rusher, QB, ILB, and various skill players to develop.
