That's not entirely true. Since 2011-2015 there have been 14 Trades within the top 10 picks Only 2 were for QBs Bortles and RG3.

Why'd you leave out last yrs draft? Philly traded up to 2...Not sure why you picked 2011-2015 as a example?

How many of those top 10 trades moved up to the 2nd overall for something outside of a qb?

Well 1 was a top 10 for Bortels. And that isn't what you posted. You said teams don't trade up for non Qbs

The reason number 2 doesn't hold value is because of the talent drop off from 1st-2nd

Sorry must of worded wrong...my point is teams move up to the top for qb more than anyother position, so not sure why anyone wouldn't want Mitch to be in the draft...people talk about just trading down like it's that easy, if your sitting at 2 and there isn't any qb prospects not many teams are gonna move up that high (and give fair value) for another position. Shoot the tackle position is s**t this yr as well.
I gotch ya. And agree

Playing who the hell judges a player of half a season...besides silly niner fans that expect instant gratification from every draft pick

Remember Peyton Manning's rookie season? Threw more INTs then TDs and completed like 56% of his passes.

How about Troy Aikman's rookie year? 9 TDs and like 18 INTs, he completed like 50% of his passes lol.

Doesn't look like he had the IT factor when I watched...but to be fair his OL and system he's in is junk.

They need to get an offensive minded HC ASAP if they want to give Goff the best chance to succeed.

FIRST THINGS FIRST..

we need to find out who is the best available QB out there that we can trade for, sign via free agent, or draft that would be the face of this franchise for the next 5 to 10 years..

A) Trade for a veteran like Brees, Rivers; Romo; Cutler and draft a young guy between 2nd and 3rd??

B) Trade for a young QB like Bradford; Grappolo; RG3 or Bridgewater if possible and build around them??

C) Sign a possible free agent and make him (Stafford) the highest paid QB possible?

D) Draft Trubisky or Watson??

Dude, ever heard of the phrase "quality not quantity"? You are beginning to sound like Baalke in stock-piling picks.

No way, Jose!!

depends where they are

after top 100 picks there is a decline in nfl contributors so theortically i think this trade would do us good
