First blush is players I think our new GM (hopefully) should go after for 8 different positions:
RB Fournette. He's the ultimate baller, but could be a top 10 pick. Might be in our GM's wheelhouse based on how the season's gone so far.
RB Samaje Perine. He's a tough, physical runner...kind of a faster version of Mike Tolbert. He had a ton of carries and well over 200 yds vs Texas.
QB Kizer. He hasn't performed like many thought he would this season so far...but, he's got the physical tools to be an NFL QB.
QB Trubisky. I like this kid...great size, good arm, accurate. Definitely a gamer.
TE Even Engram. He's been compared to Jordan Reed of the 'Skins. He's a real ballhawk and would upgrade our TE corps immediately.
TE Bucky Hodges. Another NFL-caliber player from VA Tech. He's an obvious mismatch, with his 6-7 height and solid hands.
WR Mike Williams. Great size, speed...the whole package. His numbers would be eye-popping with more consistent QB play from Watson.
WR Curtis Samuel. He could be the speed receiver Kelly wants...decent size, too at 5-11 @ 200. Has experience as a RB, too, so a terrific offensive force.
NT Lowel Lotulelei. The younger brother of Star, this guy's a run-stuffer with surprising quickness for his size.
NT Dalvin Tomlinson. Yet another run-stuffer from the Tide. Hard to go wrong with their DL.
OLB Myles Garrett. Arguably the best player in this draft. Pass rushers like him don't come along that often.
OLB Derek Barnett. He's put up impressive numbers for the Vols. Great size, quickness and consistency.
ILB Zach Cunningham. Terrific player. Great run stopper and is a good pass defender. Arguably the elite ILB in the country.
ILB Raekwon McMillan. Another in a long line of outstanding Ohio St LB's. Tough run defender and a typical well-rounded Big 10 LB.
S Jabrill Peppers. Terrific Michigan S...great speed, solid tackler. If Reid doesn't step up his game, I can see the Niners drafting his replacement.
S Eddie Jackson. Alabama stalwart. Plays the deep FS for the Tide. Lord knows the Niners could use a kid like this to solidify the backline.

I don't think there is an arguement if Garrett is the best player. He is. Then the arguement is who's #2 Fournette or Peppers.

Some real good TEs in this draft.
I'd add Corey Davis and devonte fields to the list as well

Good list but I think I'd add Trubisky(QB), Butt(TE), Switzer(WR) and Reuben Foster(ILB).

By far the best player.

Myles Garrett is the man of this draft. If we are picking first and there arnt any great trade offers to move back then we have to go for Garrett.

It would take a ridiculous haul in order to justify moving out of 1 and not taking the best player in the draft at a huge position of desperate need

If I'm in that spot I grab Garrett and move to round 2. Unless someone comes up with a huge offering like a 1s for this year and next year and also would love a second rounder as will kiindee4y

It would take both of TEN (or CLE's) 1st this year, their 2nd this year and their 1st and 2nd next year for me to even consider not hanging up on them

I'm normally a fan of trading down but if we can draft Garrett then you don't even answer the phone. Take Garrett and take Falk or trade back up in the first to make sure you secure him and get a 5th year option.

Agree with this. We need a Pass Rusher so bad and if we are in position to get not only the best one in the draft but the best player in the draft at a position of need, it should be a no brainer. I'd be fine with Falk at the end of the 1st round. I would prefer to stay put in round 2 and take Kelly but a trade up for Falk and getting that 5th year option should certainly be in play.

So what do you do if you don't have the #1 pick? Love Myles but I don't see us getting the first pick in the draft and that's what it's gonna take to get him.
People need to be prepared (or at least look) at players beyond him,
