- We finish 3-13, ending up with the #2 overall pick
- Baalke is "reassigned" to a consultant role while Gamble and Kelly lead the personnel decisions of this franchise.
- We focus on signing vet QBs to help run Kelly's scheme.
- Acquire 2 gap NT that can flex to DE in order to stop the run in the middle and sides.
- Infusion of new talent at ILB and OLB - our elite 4 is no longer back in the Harbaugh days.

Key Departures: Gabbert, Kap (cut), Bethea (cut), Williams, McDonald, Patton, Martin, Hodges, Wilhoite, Bellore

Resigning/Extend: Tiller, Hyde, Kerley, Reid, Lynch, Dorsey, Armstrong

Retain: Brooks

Trades:

2017 and 2018 2nd round picks for Jimmy Garoppolo - QB - Patriots | We try to reignite our franchise just like the Chiefs did with Alex Smith and Texans with Matt Schaub.

Tank Carradine for Dolphins 2018 conditional late round draft pick. He belongs in a 4-3 scheme.

Free Agency Signings:

Alshon Jeffery - WR - Bears | We make him the highest paid receiver. ever. in the NFL. Now with Jimmy G, I think we have a shot to sign him.

Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Bengals | Well versed in zone and man coverage, Kirkpatrick is a 2nd tier FA signing that bolsters our talent. Ward moves to SS and Johnson moves to FS.

Manti Te'o - ILB - Chargers | Former 1st round pick that immediately starts next to Bowman in 2017.

Bennie Logan - NT - Eagles | A Kelly/Gamble selection in PHI, Logan is a stout NT that has remained healthy in his career. Very good run D.

Martellus Bennett - TE - Patriots | Tall weapon that has existing chemistry with Jimmy G. Celek and Bell still on the depth chart for support.

A.J. Klein - ILB - Panthers | Good player that's only seen spot action. I think he could be a nice rotational/ST ace for us.

E.J. Manuel - QB - Bills | Former #1 pick with the physical skills...but needs to improve in the mental aspect of the game.

Arian Foster - RB - Dolphins | Zone runner that supports Hyde in the backfield.

Dion Jordan - DE/LB - Dolphins | Pass rushing specialist that replaces Carradine on the roster. Kelly Oregon connection.

NFL Draft (partial):

R1: Myles Garrett - DE/LB - Texas A&M

R3: Corey Davis - WR - Western Michigan

R4: Daniel Carlson - K - Auburn

R4: Seth Russell - QB - Baylor (comp)

R5: Mason Cole - C/G/T - Michigan

Depth Chart:

QB: Garoppolo/Manuel/Russell
RB: Hyde/Foster/Davis
TE: Bennett/Celek/Bell

WR: Jeffery/Rogers
WR: Smith/Davis
WR: Kerley/Ellington

LT: Staley
LG: Garnett/Beadles
C: Kilgore/Cole
RG: Tiller
RT: Brown/Theus

LE: Armstead/Dial
NT: Logan/Dorsey
RE: Buckner/Blair

OLB: Garrett/Brooks/Jordan
ILB: Bowman/Klein
ILB: Te'o/Armstrong
OLB: Lynch/Harold

CB: Kirkpatrick/Redmond/Reaser
CB: Robinson/Brock/Cromartie
FS: Reid/Johnson
SS: Ward/Tartt

ST: Carlson, Pinion, Nelson
I can totally dig this. I love Jimmy G. I love Garrett. Love Corey D. Not a huge fan of your FA picks but I see where your going with it. Or a kicker in the 4th round not gonna sell me on it. I had us going 3-13 in the off season so I'm with you on that we will be picking in the top 3 this year.
Te'o and Bowman? I'd like that
Love it! the only thing i am not a fan of is our RB depth. Having two injury RBs are RB1 and RB2? Foster is a glass man. I would much rather pick up a legit 3rd down specialists and draft some big "derrick henry" type mofo in the draft

BTW really like the idea of Garappolo and Bennett teaming up. With Bennett and Jeffrey, we will have two legit guys to just throw it up to

Not bad although I think you went a bit heavy handed in FA.

Garrett & Garoppolo would be amazing. Instantly addresses two of our biggest needs in one shot.
I would jizz myself if this happened.

True. Heavy handed in FA, but we have the cap spend to do it. Remember, this was a Baalke built team. Kelly and Gamble need to get their players immediately to replace non-performing Baalke players.

And outside of Jeffery, we aren't going to kill our cap room. 1-2 expensive signings, and the rest low/mid signings.

LOVE it
You had me at Myles Garrett
As soon as you said Baalke is being "reassigned" I already like it Then getting Garrett thru the draft and adding Garoppolo to start rather than a rookie..well even better. Adding Alshon and more weapons will just help the talent and ignite this offense. Adding help on NT, ILB and competition the rest of the roster will just help to make the defense almost complete. Nice job.

You gonna need to give up more than 2 2nd rounders for Jimmy. Vikings just reset the market with the Bradford trade. Sorry no way I would make Alshon the highest paid wr in the league. He's good but not that good. He's not even a top 10 wr in my opinion. And is always dealing with hamstring issues. EJ and Dion Jordan are just wasting time for real players. Time to let Dorsey walk and draft a young guy. Like everything else especially getting Logan.

Jimmy G can stay in New England... he even looks like Matt Cassell

Bradford was a #1 overall with injury history who started already for 2 different franchises. I don't want him to QB the 49ers at $18MM per, but I can see why he'd pull more in trader than a guy who started less than a quarter of a season.

Good points. Very plausible

Nah. And 2x 2nd rounders may be over doing it.

You have to remember that the best the Patriots can get for him if they keep him is a very late 3rd round pick in 2018.

So, unless you're competing against other teams in some bidding war (not this front office's MO) -- he won't be going for two 2nd round picks.
