Are you saying you regularly have in-depth conversations with NFL execs and talent evaluators? Please tell us all the people who have a "real baring on the NFL draft" that you have access to when making these determinations.
Tell me the above mentioned has watched and discussed the draft for the last 10+ years as much as I have on here or we have on the draft forum?? We have hyped up and scrutinized just about every top player and beyond as much as Mel Kiper. All I'm saying is their word is just as credible as ours only they're doing it on TV, but does that make them more credible?? Shoot MadDog, AB81, Phoenix, NYniner85 have got into some pretty heated, detailed and good discussions or debate about almost each player over the past 10+ years and I'd say we've done a pretty good job compared to some of the joke of analyst that you see on TV every March-April. So what these analyst talk to or have connections with NFL GM and college coaches, how many of them can come up with their own conclusion and detailed analysis of some of the top college players and sleepers like we can??
Picks I can truly and honestly say I've predicted the 49ers would draft:
2000 - 3rd Jeff Ulbrich
2001 - Andre Carter - a lot of people actually saw this one coming though, but I'll still add it to my collection.
2009 - 4th round Cody Wallace
Off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more, you just gotta flip back a few hundred pages.
Our own MadDog had much closer projections than Mel Kiper I remember one year. But again their words are put in a position where they're much more credible than us arm-chair GM's on here correct?
