Easily Watson for me. Him in Kelly's offense would be so fun to watch. But Garrett would also be fun to watch and I wouldn't be mad at all if we got him instead

If teams offer us a boatload of picks for the #1 overall pick, it's likely because they see Watson as a franchise QB. If we (Baalke/Chip) think the same, odds are we keep the pick and draft him.
If Watson gets hurt or somehow his stock falls (which I can't see given his arm strength, accuracy, and production to date), then we also need a pass rusher, so Garrett is the pick.
Watson, McCaffrey, and Jeffery would be pretty sweet. Finish rebuilding the offensive line (C, RT, possibly OG opposite Garnett if Beadles sucks) and that's a solid offense.
Totally agree! If we are drafting top two or three it's because of QB play. All in on Watson!
So Chargers drafted top 3 because of Phillip Rivers then??

I might trade down to #2 if possible, and if not trade down around 10-15 to get more than this..
TEN RECEIVED:
- - 2016- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2017 - -
1st rd pick . . . . . . . . . . . . 1st rd pick
2nd rd pick . . . . . . . . . . . . 3rd rd pick
2nd rd pick
3rd rd pick
If we get considerably more than that, somewhat more than that, or just that, I'm all for it.
Like two 1st rd picks to go with the trade down 1st + the 2nd, 3rd, etc as thrown ins and add ons.
This would give us 2 first round picks in the next 3 drafts (use their 2017 2nd to move up to the 1st with one of their later rd picks),
Then we also get 2nd's. 3rd's etc.
Honestly this should be the 49ers routine. If we are good then go fir it, if we are bad just get a top 5 pick and trade down for as many 1st-3rd round picks as you can get in the future, so we create huge windows for ourselves with a bunch of cheap top of the draft talent.

Watson shouldn't even be drafted. Team Garett all day.

They lost a s**t ton of close games...Browns didn't have a QB drafted 2nd, there's a reason qbs get drafting in the top of draft most yrs because those teams drafting don't have qbs or teams move up to get one.
Sure there are outliners like the Chargers. Unless Kap blows up SF coming next season will have a 6th rd pick QB and a $19 million dollar paper weight in Kap . The QB spot NEEDS to be address if one of the guys doesn't make a stand to be the #1

Agreed.
x2
We're not in position roster wise to pass on sure things/elite players/difference makers when we have the opportunity to grab them. I don't think a team ever is no matter how stacked they are. Part of that is being a crappy enough team to be in a good draft position to get them. That being said, and maybe I am wrong in thinking this, but we are starting to acquire difference makers these past couple of drafts. Hope it continues.

read the guy's posts in NT. There's a M.O. for making inflammatory statements, watching the resulting hubbub, and fleeing the scene.

I'm not following what you said in this quote?
Browns needed a QB so why did they draft one?? Shoot they didn't draft one till the 3rd round, why is that??
Right now I'd say the biggest need on paper is pass rush, if Kap and Blaine play sub par they're still capable of going into the 2017 season as starters. At the same time you can add and release a veteran QB not to mention draft one in the 2nd round if the intention for him is to sit. Myles Garrett is one of those pass rushers you don't pass up, Garrett could start right away, Watson is someone you might want to sit for a year and if that's the case might as well let a 2nd round pick sit and learn.

lots of options, you just need to think outside of the box you call DeShaun Watson.

It's the Browns who knows why they do things lol...they need help all over the place and the value they got for wentz might have been too much.
I'm cool with pass rush especially if Kap can step it up. If not qbs got to be the pick if we are in the spot to do it....not sure why Watson would have to sit playing chips offense?
We're gonna have to focus on the most important position in sports at some point and if we are picking high enough that's the time to do it.
Would be happy with Garrett or Watson but there are more good pass rushers coming out of this draft rhen qbs.

Sorry just looking at who would be the best fit to run chip offense and it's really not close when looking at the draft.
If Blaine and Kap continue to stink it up we are left with a 6th rd pick rookie and that's it come 2017...you find a winning QB you have a chance.
I hope Kap comes up big and we can go BPA but who knows...wayyyy to early to have a answer, I'm just looking at one of the best QB in college (even saban proclaimed that) right now as a possible choice.
