Agreed. This draft is way too deep with talent at RB to grab someone before the 4th, and we have much more dire needs at more impactful positions to address.
i hope we dont touch a RB before the 4th. Unless someone slips a round past where they should. As in Fournette or Cook in the 2nd. McCafferey in the 3rd.
Other than that 4th round or later
Alvin Kamara Tennennessee
D'Onta Foreman Texas
Taquan Mizzell Virginia
TJ Logan UNC
Devine Redding Indiana
DeVeon Smith Michigan
Joe Williams Utah
Anthony Wales Western Kentucky
Stanley Williams Kentucky
TJ Logan will be a nice sleeper pick..if it wasn't for Hood he would've shined a lot more..
Shanahan will want a good-sized RB who's got the wheels to run well and catch the ball exceptionally well. I really like McNichols...he's a workhorse and does everything well. Mixon's a beast with all the tools...if Shanahan/Lynch are satisfied his off the field issues are behind him.

I agree that's what we should be looking for. The guy I keep going back to is Samaje Perine. Seems like he's got the right combo of power, north south speed, slipperiness, and catching ability. But what I can't figure out is where to expect him to get drafted. I've seen him all over on RB rankings.
Anyone have any thoughts on where Perine will go in this draft?

An NFC North scout blasted Wisconsin RB Corey Clement, saying he "wasn't very well liked inside that program."
"He checked out mentally on the entire 2015 season and wasn't very well liked inside that program," the scout said. "Then you add durability concerns and that's a problem." NFL Media's Lance Zierlein compares Clement to Peyton Barber. "Clement's lack of durability combined with a lack of value as a third down option could hurt his draft stock, but negative feedback from inside the program could be just as big at this point," Zierlein wrote. "Clement has the size and athletic ability that will help him land on a depth chart, but he appears to lack the fluidity, decisiveness, and vision needed to become a dependable, productive starting running back." The analyst thinks Clement's best fit might be as a committee back in a one-cut scheme.
Kareem Hunt is a guy I've zeroed in on in the 3rd or 4th rd. Just looks like a real solid player, and had people buzzing at the Senior Bowl.
Elijah McGuire is an intriguing late round prospect to me. He's got some talent, and is very natural catching the football. Almost looks like a receiver at times.
Tarik Cohen is a pint-sized player (5'6", 175 lbs) but is extremely quick and fast. Catches the football well. Fun to watch. Not quite on Darren Sproles level as a prospect, but a similar type player.
Kareem Hunt reminds me of a Frank Gore type runner but a bit less low, more skinny through the holes.
I'm an Oklahoma fan and I think it's crazy Samaje Perine isn't getting more respect. First of all he's got a lot more football speed than 40 speed and that's more important. If he's there in the 3rd or later I'd love to take him and I think it'll be a steal. If he can avoid injuries I could see him having a Frank Gore like career. Not the flashiest back but he delivers every season for a decade. Watch his record breaking performance against Kansas. I know it's just Kansas but no one else ran 427 yards against them. I'm going to miss watching him on Saturdays.
Also his character is off the charts. Great guy and team mate. Plus he proposed to his girlfriend with the help of a magician. That's pretty awesome.
De'Angelo Henderson is built like a brick s**thouse. The guy is jacked as hell.
Pumphrey and Henderson are my great value picks if no Hunt. Btw just to be clear, we're all projecting but I've hardly watched any tape besides combine, some highlights. I'm going a lot off of experts, their skill sets, round projection etc. thank goodness for the zone war daddy's
