I like everything except paxton 2nd round pick and no oline until the 6th. Paxton is not much better than dak if at all. So grab him a round later and get an olineman.

The scheme hasn't been matching the it the last couple of years. I see us needing a G to come in and compete for a starting role, and we in this draft we don't need to invest a terribly high pick. At OT we only need draft a guy for the future to take over after Staley. Again, this draft is very deep n the trenches, both on O and D. This is a draft for a team like the 49ers to focus much of the earlier rounds on needs for impact players (for a team starving for impact players).

After Bosa, Lawson, and Spence, who are all DE's and all likely going in the 1st or early 2nd, the pickings are slim at edge rushers this season. OLB is terribly week this draft, most are too light for 3-4 schemes. Leonard Floyd is rising but even he will have to put on at least 15lbs. This draft most of the edge rushers are gonna come from DE's being converted to OLB's. But you're right, there's nothing wrong with drafting multiple players are the same position.

Thank you very much Cannot seem to get that point across to folks
The purpose of the draft is to get younger and better, that's the point guys...........you don't know what you have until you draft them and again we don't have a top 30 pass rush, so I'm a bit confused about these weak pass rush class comments....We have 12 picks, not 2. There are enough rushers in this draft to select from early, it's not taboo to draft multiple players at one position....Pass rushers and O line should be our first 4 pick...Unless Brooks , Lem and Harold are going to evolve dramatically. Last I checked, We didn't get any pressure let alone sacks from that bunch with or without Lynch.
As far as our lack of pressure last season that was almost totally due to Magini's scheme. Far too often he asked Brooks and Lynch to drop back in coverage. In fact it drove me nuts every time I saw it When those guys were allowed to rush the passer they got very good pressure and were disruptive. Just like the O-line the defense suffered from mismatched scheme. I just hope that Jim O'Neil don't try to repeat what Mangini was trying to do.
