I love how everyone thinks we are set at RB.
We for sure are not set at RB with really imo 1 good RB on the roster and he has so far a history with injuries.
Elliot will be a star RB in this league and we are staring at him at 7.
We must take Zeke if Buckner,Jack,Ramsey,Tunsil are gone at 7 which im pretty sure everyone agrees will be the case.
Anyone have an argument telling me otherwise? And no I'm not a OSU fan

I don't think anyone is saying we are set at RB but this draft has a lot of very good RBs. Zeke is a great player but he's a bellcow back that needs touches to get better same with Hyde. IMO you wouldn't be using Hyde or Zeke property if you were just sticking them in for a series here and there....we need a COP back that can catch balls out of the backfield and lineup as a WR.
Look at Sproles and what he could do in chip's offense, our OC Wakins had Bush and last season Theo Riddick in Detroit, we need someone like that to make our offense that much better (hence why we brought in Dunbar)...someone like Paul Perkins, CJ prosise, or Tyler Ervin can all be had in the 4th.
We just have much much more important things to worry about at 7 and I think Zeke needs to go to a team that's gonna give him 20 touches a game, not happening here.
FYI we have Davis as a RB that can spell Hyde a little as well, he's a very good pass blocker and I can't judge him off of 35 attempts with that OL last year.

Just don't be surprise if Baalke do end up drafting Eze-E.. he by now, probably knows that Carlos can not stay healthy for a full year.. and if the below where to happen, do expect Ez to be a 49er..
1) Tunsil
2) Wentz
3) Goff
4) Jack
5) Ramsey
6) Bosa
7) EZE E
1) Tunsil
2) Wentz
3) Goff
4) Jack
5) Ramsey

I would love him, too...but that line needs some talent. Great line makes ordinary backs look great...RBs and QBs .

I like everything your saying here. Mike Davis doesn't inspire me though.
I keep getting the feeling Zeke is going to bust out like Gurley last year and we will regret not taking him.
I would rather roll with Kaep and Gabbert and surround them with more talent like Zeke. I think he would be perfect in Dallas at 4 but doubt they take him

Elliott at #7 is a possibility if they think he's the best player available when they pick. Especially if both quarterbacks are off the board.
I'm not saying it's going to happen but it wouldn't shock me. He's a great player and maybe even someone you build an offense around.

If it went like that it would be Buckner, especially since Williams and Dorsey are questionable now. You are not going to take a running back and he sits and plays only part of the time. We can grab Tyler later in the draft to spell Hyde. The problem is the OL, improve that and the other backs will do better.

Go watch mike Davis' tape from 2013 when he was healthy he was looking like on of the top RBs in the nation. He got injured in 2014 and put on too much weight, which IMO carried over into last season.
You got to look at Hyde and zeke an see what kind of backs they are...they wear down defenses and need touches to get better. You'd be wasting their talents sticking them in for a series then sitting them. It would hurt both of them IMO.
Zeke is not gurley...he kind of reminds me of gore who's not a complementary back like you want. We need a COP back, Ervin is my pick. I wouldn't be very pissed if we blow our 7th pick on a RB, this team doesn't need a RB. That would be a luxury pick which is something we can't afford right now. There will be prospects at positions of need that are just as talented at 7.

It would be a horrible pick almost a waste...your gonna draft someone a 7 to get 10 touches a game? Smh

No way. To be the #2 RB? We can find a decent one of those later on. We need help on one of the lines or qb. We may not be set at RB but it is one of our "stronger" positions.

this imo
I'd hope we grab Buckner but we would also have the option to get amazing compensation by moving down so some team could grab Buckner that late. We could trade for a bad teams 1st next year, 2nd this year and more. Not to mention we could use Elliot and Stanley as trade bait also.
