We make the deal with Denver taking their pick R3/P124 and a conditional 2017 pick. Mind you Denver should receive some good comp picks next year and they will be traceable.
R1/P14 Shaq Lawson OLB
Balke tends to draft players he has interviewed in round 1. The Niners have brought him in and worked him out and talked to him at the combine. He's my best guess for who Balke actually drafts. He might not be our biggest need but Balke tries to draft a year ahead. Armstead 262 snaps last season should start next season. Basically the same pattern with Jimmy Ward. This is definitely Brooks last season in SF unless he gets 10-12 sacks this year. Plus Lawson will be a huge character upgrade at the position.
R2/P37 Ryan Kelly OC
Best Center in the draft allows Kilgore to move to RG.
R2/44 Jason Spriggs OT
He makes the most sense from a system fit perspective. Davis still hasn't signed his papers yet and doesn't fit the system. Brown definitely doesn't fit the system and we have a huge need at RT. Spriggs is probadly the best zone blocking OLine in the draft.
R3/P68 Braxton Miller WR
I think Kelly would love to work with Miller and use the things he can do. He's faster than his 40 time and bigger than most people think. A year of coaching and he could be the best WR to come out of this draft. Plus he solves our problem in the return game.
R3/P124 Chris Jones DE we need depth with Williams and Dorsey hurt plus an overall upgrade on our bench won't hurt. If he can keep his pants up he's a steal here
R4/P105 Cardale Jones QB Rocket Arm who OSU tried to make run the option last year. Perfect guy to sit behind Garrett for a year or 2.
R4/P133 Leonte Carroo WR our wrs are complacent and have not gotten better this should motivate them.
R5/P145 Alex Collins RB Big strong back for when Hyde gets hurt. He's missed 11 games in 2 seasons. More than Gore in his career.
R5/P174 Rashard Robinson CB big CB
R6/P178 Alex McCallister OLB
R6/P209 trade for 2017 5th round pick
R6/P211 Brandon Allen QB practice squad
R6/P213 Elijah Shumate SS
