It looks as if we will end up receiving pick 65 from Cleveland or pick 63 from Denver back in trade. I think that's a little low for Denver considering what's at stake for them. If Kap plays average they can make another run. With no QB they will have a wasted season. In my mind they have to acquire Kapernick or they might as well start to rebuild. Ok so let's assume John Elway makes the right choice and doesn't try to play tough and screw his franchise.
In round 1 if Goff, Ramsey, Bosa, Buckner, Tunsil are gone we trade down. I think these are the only tier 1 prospects in this draft. We could easily trade down 10 spots and have a selection of tier 2 prospects to choose from that fits our system. Best option would be to trade down to 16 with Detroit Detroit would move up for Treadwell or Stanley. We don't need Treadwell at 7 because we won't throw the ball that well next year. We can't use Stanley because we would have to play him at guard for at least 2 years and Guards don't get drafted that high.

Jared Cook drops more balls than "Hand Of Stone" Davis ever did. He's been a disappointment everywhere he's played so far. And honestly at this point, considering we can't seem to get a decent FA to sign here, I'd rather hang onto Kap than trade him. I think I'd be more excited to see what a good offensive coach could do with him again, more than a 3rd round pick (who will probably be out the year rehabbing an ACL anyway).

You didn't mention Myles Jack. I would pick him at #7.

I would be fine with dealing him if we can get some decent compensation in return.
