Draft logic

Draft plan round 1. Draft Goff or Wentz. Simply put drafting Stanley at 7 makes no sense for a player that will not be starting at LT. As of yet we do not know how good Davis will be when he gets back but that reduces our need. Staley will be our starting LT for at least 3 more years so Stanley would have to compete at guard and they don't get drafted that high. If both QBs are gone that means either Ramsey, Bosa or Buckner will be there at 7. If Ramsey is there we should do a dance because he might be a once in generation talent at CB. If Bosa is there we will put him at OLB and use him similar to Malik Jackson except he will be a sack machine. At 269 he would be perfect fit at OLB. If we end up with Buckner that should give us a better rotation on our dline. The greatest coach in history Bill Walsh said that you should draft a QB every single year until you get one and once you get one you keep drafting QBs. We do not have one! Gabbert is not that good. If Gabbert starts 16 games next year it will be a wasted season. He cannot take us to a Super Bowl all he can do is keep a young QB from getting snaps. You either have a QB that can win a Super Bowl or your developing one. So The 49ers draft board should start like this. Goff, Wentz, Ramsey, Bosa, Buckner. If all 5 are gone we should be trading down for a team that is after a LT.
Each year the draft is recognized for being deep at certain positions that means you can wait til later and get a pretty good player. To Balke that means you shouldn't draft that position until all the players are gone. The last 2 years the draft was considered deep at WR so we waited until round 4 to take one. That makes no sense to me for a team that needed wrs. This year the draft is considered deep on the dline so you pretty much know what that means. To me I would be looking to draft 2 or 3 of them really good prospects and stock up on the talent. Would it really hurt our team to solidify our dline for the next 5 years.
Round 1 pick 7 QB, Buckner or trade Down. At number 7 we need a player that can get more than 260 snaps like Armstead. Other teams draft starters why can't we.
Round 2 pick 37 every year there's 40 players that are projected to go in round 1 so that means at least 9 players with 1st round grades will drop out of round 1. That's who we should be targeting not the sleepers Balke looks for every year. It's not a sleeper if you have to draft them early ala the safety from Samford. We should be looking for another starter here. Like Apple, Darron Lee Cody Whitehair or the best Dline available.
Round 3 we don't need a safety but the top 3 safety's plus one of the top TEs will be available here. If we drafted a Jeremy Cash or Vonn Bell here we could release Bethea and save 4 million and probadly make Eric Reid expendable and who knows how much that would save us.
Round 4 we should be looking for the best Oline available or the best RB available. We need a 1b running back. Hyde cannot take 300-400 carries with the style he plays and we all know this. Kelly runs the ball a lot. It would be a crime for us to get caught again without a quality backup.
Round 4 Robert Agauyo K. Dawson is a great kicker but he's old. By the time we are able to compete for a title he will be gone so why would we not draft the best kicker and let him develop and save 4 million in the process. We absolutely have to find a young kicker this season or we are just wasting money.

Free agency
Balke for some insane reason we brought in the worst players at their positions and we started them! And by starting them they took most of the snaps from our young guys we are supposed to develop! WTF Devey and Pears were ranked in the 90s at their position. There's only 64 starters they were ranked below backups and we started them!
We have one star on defense and only 1 highly paid player. We should be looking for at least 1 star/ all star type player and at least 2 quality starters like Laurnitis.
On offense we should be looking for at least 1 starter at guard like Oseleme or Brooks. We should not waste money on a WR that we cannot get the ball to.

He got those rejects because AD bailed on us AFTER Free Agency and the Draft.

They started because Bozo the Tomsula was in charge.

Agree with most of what you say but I'd say the Niners draft board looks like: Goff, Wentz, Buckner, Bosa, Jack, Tunsil, Ramsey.
