lol yeah a lot hate on Cook but like I said numbers don't lie..hes a winner...and Calhouns Height 6' 4" ..Weight 251 ..Arm Length 34¼" ..Hand Size 9?" ..40 Yard Dash 4.82 ..Bench Press 23 ..Vertical Jump 35" ..Broad Jump 115" 3.. Cone Drill 6.97 ..20 Yard Shuttle 4.25..
He was a winner on a stacked team IMO he didn't blow me away with his intangibles. He looked like crap in the bowl game this year...I don't want any part of him and his inaccurate arm and piss poor attitude. He's not a leader
Calhoun might be a solid pick but I just saw him take too many plays off this year there wasn't that nastiest. I could live with the pick in hopes he brings it to the next level.
i agree but If we take him in the 3rd id have no problem..3rd or later on him and I'm cool with is..no way earlier..as for Calhoun i think hes going to get better and tho he didn't show up every play he was still the best player on a very very talented front line..plus I'm biased bc hes a jersey boy..he can join Davis and DJ lol
Fair enough lol...I don't want Cook on this team at all I don't care if it's a 3rd or a 6th round pick. His attitude is s**t and he really doesn't offer anything that Blaine can't do all ready.
on another note I hope Buckner falls to us

NFL Draft
-------------
Round 1- LB Myles Jack-starter day 1 next to bowman..impact player who will help bring the D dominant again
Round 2-OLB Shalique Calhoun-all day he impressed me..i think hes going to end up being the 3rd best pass rusher in this draft behind Spence and Lawson
Round 3-WR Tyler Boyd-might not be gone but if not I love the pick here..value and think he will be very good in Kellys offense..Boyd Smith on the outside Boldin in the slot
Round 3-QB Connor Cook-rumors Baalke likes him most..a lot to like and dislike but numbers don't lie and hes a winner..
Round 4-Christian Westerman-another I'm not sure will be around at this pick but hes my fav olineman in this draft..could be a starter day 1..fights Kilgore for a spot..
Round 5-CB James Bradberry- tall long corner who didn't run as fast as all thought..reunites with fellow teammate Tartt
Round 5-OT Tyler Johnstone-back up tackle who knows Kellys O
Round 5-WR Marquez North-I loved this kid when he was healthy..ran fast with great size..sleeper
Round 6-DT DJ Reader-back up..big man..beast
Round 6-S TJ Green-athletic safety who will play ST
Round 6-DT Joel Heath-huge kid that was a top recruit who never found a position in MSU defense..
Round 6-OLB Jimmy Bean-injured and redshirted..
I still don't think Kap gets traded..i think Baalke and Kelly sit him down and help him realize his best chance to succeed is here..gives it a chance..

In my mock i was thinking Reaser and Acker fight it out for a spot bc I'm keeping DJ and the rookie Bradberry
As for Boyd where did you hear hes not as fast as reported bc i was thinking that his 40 was a lot faster then i thought it would be..i think he supposedly ran a 4.5..and yeah North can be a nice surprise if he stays healthy..

on another note I hope Buckner falls to us
LOL no convincing you about Cook huh..? its cool id rather Prescott anyway..i have us taking Cook bc of the rumor and i don't think he will be as bad as most seem to think..and its funny bc i literally just said on Ivans mock id definitely enjoy watch a frontline of Armstead, Williams, and Buckner grow and dominate..i have no problem with either Jack Buckner Spence Bosa at 7..

Lol yeah I'm holding my ground on that...it's funny the rumor, when's the last time Baalke stated he liked one player over another this early in the draft? cole is the same guy that said Willis was coming back lol.
Yeah I think we will grab a soild player at 7 regardless

Solid, fix the D in one draft and groom a QB that's played behind center. Boldin has been great but time to let go.

yeah not much going on for leaks anymore too lol...I hope Baalke goes BPA at 7 and doesn't try to get cute with someone like Lawson at 7.

Did you not see the Combine?,I had weny on I beleive a CBS website for college draftees and it had stated that He ran a 4.39-4.44 and when Boyd got to the combine He was slow and not as tall as stated previously

I wouldn't cut Bethea...he's the leader of the secondary and provides quality play. The youngsters look up to him and it's very important to have veteran leadership like that.
For FA's Jahri Evans will be 33 before the season starts. KC's Jeff Allen or the Vikes' Mike Harris would be better (and younger) options.
Instead of Andre Branch, if Baalke doesn't go for a big dog like Malik Jackson, then Adrian Clayborn or Derrick Shelby would be good options. Another good option is the Chiefs' Jaye Howard, who can play both DT and DE.
Casey Hayward's a very good cover CB, but his tackling's a liability. Other options are Sean Smith, Brandon Boykin and others who have a well-rounded game.
For your draft, I have no argument over either Jack or Calhoun. That said, you didn't add any DL 'til the 6th rd. This draft is chock full of DL talent. Even though Dial just got an extension, IMHO he should be part of the DE rotation, not necessarily a starter, which is why I'd draft Buckner, if available. The big NT from Clemson's can hopefully understudy Ian Williams and might be part of the hybrid DL.
I see your WR corps didn't include Eric Rogers...I'm sure they signed him with the thought of adding a big WR to make plays. I certainly wouldn't count him out at this point. As for Boyd, agree he'd be an excellent addition, but I'd be concerned he won't last 'til rd 3.
I'm not a big Cook fan...reportedly Baalke likes him, but that could also just be smokescreen. I don't see either Goff or Wentz being available at #7, so I'm thinking they'll grab one in the 3rd rd or so. Mich St held him back somewhat in the passing game, opting for a more conservative offense. He might be ok, I'm just not a huge fan.
Westerman could be there in the 4th rd, but I think Baalke would be more attracted to either Arkansas' Kirkland or Boise St's Odhiambo. Both guys have NFL size, strength and are equally adept at run and pass blocking.

Thanks for your opinions..I think Bethea gets cut just bc they want the yougings to play and learn as..
I have them sign Evans bc I don't see Baalke wanting to give a 4 year deal..with Evans he signs for 2..
I also have them signing Branch bc I loved him in college but I'm cool with Clayborn too..don't know much about Shelby..
I think Dial is only going to get better and become a good starter for years..he's still young and learning..he made great improvements last year..but like I've said I would not mind at all if Buckner is the choice at 7..
I forgot about Rogers lol I hope he becomes a good player for us..and yeah idk ig Boyd is going to around in the 3rd tho his combine was not very impressive..
And Westerman to me is going to be great..I think he fits Kellys type of olineman and will beast.but .again thanks for your opinions..looking foward to seeing your mock..
