Ezekiel Elliot in the top 10

Having both Hyde and Elliot would be sick...and would be feasible IF our OL was set, we didn't need to upgrade the DL, had another QB in the event Kap does leave, etc. But, that's just not the case...AD returning will be huge for the OL...arguably leaving LG as the only position up for grabs. Still, there's a lot of work to be done to get the OL set and establish quality depth. That said, if a guy like Buckner's there at #7, Baalke will most likely pull the trigger. DL and OL need an infusion of young talent and some better vets to reestablish both groups somewhere close to what they were @ 3 yrs ago. There are a lot of good RB's in this draft...so trust Baalke will grab one at some point. It's fun to speculate what a tandem of Hyde and Elliot could do, but it's just a dream at this point.

It seems like his stock has gone way up. Anyone thinks someone would try to trade us for the 7th spot for him?

Elliots talent is not elite. Hes just really solid all around.
2nd tier guy.
Peterson, faulk, gurley--thats elite.

Elliot is a stud, but hes human.
Gurley has some super-human elements.
A clear difference.
TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline reports the Cowboys are "very high" on Ohio State RB Ezekiel Elliott.

Pauline's reporting makes it sound as if Elliott, Jalen Ramsey, and Carson Wentz are sitting atop the Cowboys' draft board, with Ramsey as the No. 1 player. If true, it means Dallas taking Elliott with the No. 4 overall pick remains a possibility. Elliott will likely come off the board in the top 10.
wrong post lol

If true, we may look to trade up with the Cowboys to get Goff/Wentz since neither QB is likely to fall to 7.

The #4 pick seems way too high for Elliot given he's not a generational player at RB like Peterson or even Fournette. #7 still feels a little high, but he's almost guaranteed to be there and the Cowboys can pick up a 3rd and 4th round pick to move back 3 spots and pick someone they were considering at 4.
