Rd 1: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame: I love his frame, long arms, and athletic ability. Shows good balance and technique. Fits well in a ZBS; has great agility. Super-sized girth and plays with nasty demeanor. He is far from a finished product, and has a very high ceiling.
Rd 2: Kevin Dodd, DE, Clemson: Great frame, great instincts, and plays with a high motor. He is a great edge rusher and is relentless through 4 quarters. Would make an excellent rotational player on a D-line that could use a boost in talent.
Rd 3: Sterling Shepard, WR, Oklahoma: Lightning fast feet and excellent, soft hands. Has the wiggles to get open consistently. Might not have blazing straight-line speed, but he beats defenders regularly. Has a football pedigree and plays with a chip on his shoulder.
Ill be digging deeper in to the later round draft prospects this month. So far, these are my targets for rounds 1-3.

I like the Kevin Dodd pick.
I think there are guys(i.e. Jason spriggs) that will likely be around in the 2nd that could be just as good or better than Ronnie Stanley.

I doubt any tackles around in the 2nd round will be as good or better than Stanley. It looks like Stanley will have 34+" arms (longer than Tunsil, at least as long as Spriggs) and he could have played D1 basketball if he wanted to (was one of the better players on a top 15 high school basketball team in the country, Bishop Gorman). There aren't many tackles more athletic than Stanley. His ceiling is higher than anyone who will be available in the 2nd round and is up there with Tunsil's ceiling. Spriggs is a good athlete and has long arms, but doesn't have Stanley's power or technique.

It's still early in the process of determining exactly where he might go, but I don't expect his measurables at the combine to boost his stock at all. He's a late second, early third round pick imo.

The general consensus among scouts is concerns with Stanley's core strength and technique, so I am not sure what you're talking me about. It's pretty obvious when you watch his tape that he tries to overcompensate with his athleticism against power rushers.
Neither is a polished product and both would have to slide inside in their first few seasons. Spriggs shares every positive attribute that Stanley does, has already demonstrated an acute understanding of zone combo-blocking concepts and won't cost you a early 1st round pick, which gives him an edge in my opinion.

i like ronnie stanley but i heard he has a poor working ethic. Sounds like he could be Anthony Davis 2.0.

I think Shepard does make it to the 3rd. However, I don not see Dodd making it out of the 1st rd.

Stanley's rated right behind Tunsil among OT's...Dodd's got the right size for DE...not sure Kelly would go for Shepard...he's smallish as WR's go and he loves big guys who can run. I supposed he could use him in the slot...although I'd love to see Smelter there...instant mis-match.

Stanley is the 2nd best OT in this draft. Some could argue that he is the best. I like Springs, he is very athletic however as of right now
Decker, Thomas,Conklin, and Colman are better OTs then Springs. He will rise with a good showing at the combine but he is not better then Tunsil or Stanley.

I'd be happy landing any of these 3. Shepard is already better than Ellington and Patton.
