Deep DL in this year's draft..
Baalke needs to realize that this would be the year to file up on DL because the ones we have just ain't cuttin it..

Vernon Butler, Kenny Clark, Chris Jones. all potential round 2 possibilities if we miss out on an interior DL in round 1 or in FA. Heck maybe even if we get one in FA or round one you can still add one of those guys. They can play all over the line. DL not a bad place to have depth and this is the year to bolster it.

Yup this draft is deep at DL, OL, and LB.
Butler has the most to offer out of those three IMO...I like Clark not sure he's a 3-down guy and Jones seems a little up and down (plays with a high pad level) but that's stuff that can be coached.
I'd love Butler in the 2nd he just moves so fast for someone his size....I wouldn't mind Bullard if he dropped for some reason

I like Bullard but I think he'd be better for a one gapping scheme. He wins with his lighting quick first step and that won't cut it in our two gapping scheme. He's a little light and not quite long enough to be a 5T stud like Butler, Buckner, or Jones.

yeah good call on Bullard I didn't realize he was only 280...his best fit would be a 4-3 DE. Just watched him get a quick first step off the snap all the time. I think he would have problems taking on multiple blockers and filling the gaps, it would probably be like Tank all over again

What's bad with that? Ray Mac was a good player...like someone stated he's best for a 1-gap anyway I shouldn't have even brought him up lol.
Butler is my boy!

Because Bullard is a 4-3 type of DL.. we already have a bunch of backup DL on the team, what we wanna land are STARTERS, even in the 2nd or 3rd or 4th round.. Bullard is just gonna end up competeing with CLUELESS TANK, with Baby Huey Armsted, the Gentle Gian in Dahl, and the Broken Ramsey..
do you really want that??
and i bet Buttler is your BOY!!

Well even if we did draft Butler or Buckner they would still be competing with all those lineman. There is no guarantee that any player you draft can come in and be a starter day one.

I said Bullard is a better fit for a 4-3....you said the more you saw of him reminded you of Ray Mac I don't see how that's a bad thing? Do you like butler or no?

If we had a chance to get a clone of RayMac without the behavioural problems, that would be worth a mid first rounder. I don't understand what 9moon is trying to argue here at all. He's just giving our players odd nicknames and not really saying anything.

Maybe thats because 9Moon dose`nt have anything else constructive to add, and it`s Dial 9moon not Dahl and Dial has Played damn good this year.....you can tell real football fans, they actually talk about the game with Knowledge and not name-calling nor non-sense.

Versus the Run-1-Massive defensive lineman with good quickness for size and very good overall strength. Did a better job as a senior of locating the ball and quickly disengaging. Wins a high-percentage of one-on-one's in the run game. Big and strong enough to anchor versus double team. Adequate range for DT position. Strong latch-on tackler whose length is an asset.
Pass Rush Skills-3-Good initial surge and flashes ability to collapse the pocket. Powerful bull rusher. Shows ability to convert speed to power on twists, angles, etc. Has excellent power in upper body but needs to refine his pass rush moves. Explosive finisher when he does get home. Has upside as a pass rusher and showed improvement in 2015, but his production has never matched his natural ability (just five career sacks, including three as a senior). Seems to lack a plan as a pass rusher at times and doesn't show good natural instincts. Runs himself into trouble at times. Will waive the white flag too early when reached at times. Stands up and tends to stall out too much.
Quickness (hands/feet)-2-Explosive upper body power. Flashes violent club move. Still learning how to use his hands properly. Above average initial quickness and lateral agility for size. When he turns it loose in pursuit, he has surprisingly good speed for 320-plus pounds.
Toughness/Motor-2-Plays hard on most downs and played a high percentage of snaps (at least on five tapes studied in 2015). Plays with a mean streak. Tough dude. Well respected by teammates and he's also known as the enforcer in their locker room. The only area on tape that gives us concern is his inconsistent fight as a pass rusher, particularly when he doesn't win with first move. Of course, his weight will always need to be monitored especially once he get paid).
